People are trapped on this island that does weird things with time and space and during the course of the show we learn about the past of the characters and how theyre all connected, I get it. What happened in the last episode? Did they get off the island? Did anyone die? What was the final scene? Please I would love an answer to this.

It was important to the characters' & their respective journeys'. The show has DEEP meaning, just because something is used a metaphor doesnt mean it was pointless. I think some people watch 'Lost' for the wrong reason.

And when you say the ending was "unsatisfying" you do feel like you're jumping on a bandwagon with the haters. But, I think captivating people for 6 years and going with an ending where nothing really tied together is wrong frankly. In fact I may sound over the top but I think it's actually offensive.

It was so epic, so captivating that a groundbreaking finale was expected by some. I enjoyed the mystique & technique's that were used to keep following the show. But when it comes down to it, it was ALWAYS about the characters & their redemptions, respectively. People expected TOO much from the ending.

Word is from Jorge (via Jay & Jack's podcast) that right before they did the top ten, the list included "Jack dies". Apparently they were frantic and made up an excuse for them to change it. Perhaps they were worried about it that coming up on the teleprompter? Even if not, I would imagine that pertained to their agitation.

Once Darlton even said that they wanted Harry Potter to die because he was hero and his death and story would have been more memorable and amazing if he had died.
