Good works are the result of our faith, so he might have a relationship with Jesus since he's fair and honest man.

If he didn't trust the Lord as his savior and placed his faith in Him then your dad is not in heaven, that's what the Bible says! For by grace we have been saved through faith, and that not by ourselves, so no one can boast. Salvation is not through our good works but by Faith alone in Jesus Christ!!!
