Awesome video. I have a labrador cross collie named Hercules, he's 12 years old. I remember getting him when a woman was giving away puppies while I down south in Western Australia for a weekend when I was 6 years old, and I'm glad that opportunity arose. He had hardly any white on him as a puppy, but since has a lot on his muzzle.

I have a Lab/Border Collie mix named Rex. Very friendly and smart, and a big baby too. If I let him the 100 pound suck will jump in my lap, roll on his back and cry for a belly rub :3. He also sucks on his blanket.

i have the same kind of dog and it easily learned to do those same tricks and it took maybe 10 mins each to teach him to hi five,shake,stand,and lay down he already knew how to sit though but this seems to be a very intelligent breed

My dog is a chocolate lab/border collie mix. The most lovable breed ever. He pretty much looks like a full breed black lab, theres no signs of the chocolate lab in the fur. He has a pointier snout than a pure labrador breed and also this cute white patch on the chest. Hes a big dog at about 120 pounds. He definitely got the fathers size (Chocolate Lab). Very intelligent breed and also very caring and talkative and loyal. Great swimmers and obstacle course and frisbee dogs too. Great mix.

Border collie lab cross are the perfect dog I think! Very caring, loyal and extremely intelligent...they require lots of attention, exercise and play with their owners and other dogs. Gorgeous creatures!

@aimeedaughn if dog genetics are anything like human genetics DNA actually does work like that. A dog carries two sets of every chromosome (one set from the dam and one from the dog) when the dog produces a sex cell, or gamete (sperm or egg cell), these two sets of chromosomes cross over to produce a single set of hybrid chromosomes containing genetic information from both the dog and dam, leading to a cross breed dog. DNA of a dog doesn't work that way. If a shepard and a collie had a puppy and a pug and lab had a puppy.. And their 2 puppies had puppies the dog could turn out shepard/pug, or lab/collie. Research it.... It's kind of neat how it works.

She is 4 months old in this video but she is now 1 and a half. I now am lead to believe that she has kelpie in her because of her looks as she matured. I am having her DNA tested eventually though, just for the simple fact of knowing.

She looks almost exactly like my sister's dog, Elsa, who we're fairly sure is a border collie-lab mutt, with probably a little bit of shepherd in the mix - mostly from the ears and the shape of the face.

@aimeedaughn IMHO, having a dog DNAed is like desperately wanting to talk about the meaning of life with Maury or Jerry Springer. A dog is a dog, and I say that as I have one now and had a few before this one. I all loved them to bits, altough I've never been capable of loving as much as I've been loved by them.

I am pretty sure your dog would never want to have DNA on you. Gotcha?

omg arnt there ears so big?! i just rescued one from the humane society in town and they wernt sure if she was a Lab/German or a Lab/Collie and i am looking at videos and she is so a Lab/Collie, she looks almost like yours but she is wider and shorter :P

It could be both. At least around here, there are plenty of shepherd-border collie mixes (and lab-shepherd mixes). Breed one with a lab and you'd have shepherd-collie-lab mix.

Awh, she reminds me of my dog Lilly!! Lilly is a brown and white border collie lab mix. And it's kinda sad because we had thought about giving her away because she was being bad. Like, she needed to live on a farm. But then that changed and now my little Min. Pin. is being bad. Lilly was the pick of the litter.
