@tralla96 RC cars and parts cost a fortune in Australia. We pay as much as double what Americans do. I estimate I've spent US$1000 getting it on the road. Add spare and replacement parts to that, and it's certainly an expensive hobby. Great fun, though.
@tralla96@tralla96 The B44 is a more serious competition car than the Kyosho Lazer. The B44 includes more metal and carbon fiber components than the Lazer, and so it costs a little more. Also, I suspect that the Lazer is not setup to carry LiPO batteries. If you are serious about competition racing then the B44 is the superior car, but remember that the kit is only the start of your setup. Choice of ESC, motor, etc will make a big difference performance.
@bearlikesbeer I was once like tralla96, deciding between b44 and lazer zx-5. I can agree the b44 may be a more hardcore competition racer but I got an awesome deal on a lazer zx-5 sp and love it. it does carry lipo very well with no mods theres also a FS model zx-5 which carries saddle pack lipo like the b44. I still want a b44 pretty bad.
This seems very funny, remembers me my youngh when I lived in the south of France, glad to see you enjoy it. Thanks again for the tip that you gave me about the ratio, now I make full screen video and you're the the one who opened my eyes dude ^^ Take care Matt.
