Rhodesia and its people must have been very bold and determined. Something to admire really, when they were surrounded and eventually destroyed by jungle savages. One thing I am disappointed by in my countries history is its support against Rhodesia. If the UK did choose to support Rhodesia, hopefully this would have allowed them to kill that black hitler mugabe and his thugs and ultimately make middle africa a better place in the long run.

I guess that means America deserved to have been sanctioned and bullied to death until the country relinquished control to the hands of a dictator who ran it into the ground, leading to starvation and poverty. The smaller tribe was the one the fought for the Rhodesian governemnt and the larger tribe was the one who fought for the cvvommunists. As a result of Mugabe's takeover the smaller tribe has been brutally repressed. Oh, and the country is staving.

Rhodesia was broken in half. Southern Rhodesia became what is now The Republic of Zambia. Today Rhodesia is of course Zimbabwe. Both are now a mess.

People can't get into the small arguments all they want, but one general fact remains COMPLETELY EVIDENT: No man, black or white, would have been as bad off under Ian Smith than things have some become under Mugabe. Whites and blacks had/ would continue to have had basic needs at the very least, and Rhodesia's fantastic agriculture and booming economy would have been immensely fruined. Now Zimbabee has been sent to stone ages of a long dead economy, hopesless, and racial hatred and violence. :(
