  • It IS rare as this music doesn't fit the film (which is A Hard Days Night by the way!). This is some session they did for the BBC I imagine and he's loaded it on top of the movie.

  • this isnt ultra rare.. its a scene from the movie help..

  • Great questions... I love this song!

  • Ringo's playing a totally different drum part. He used to do that a lot.

  • @oeddawg Read the description of the video. It is a BBC recording so it is not gonna match the video.

  • Is that you trying to sing and play you fucking idiot. Even the tempo is wrong.

  • o maior fenomeno musical de todos os tempos ! forever !!

  • Great video, great song but the audio is way out of sync with the video

  • This is music of the best kind, you can't get this anymore, still the best band that ever lived, and will go down in history as the Beathovens of the 60's.

  • @rotveldt the footage isn't rare the audio is

  • how is footage from a hard days night rare?

  • As christmas nears I will be thinking of my brother steve genge who will be eternally 46. RIP. missing you so much. Like this if you're remembering someone you've loved and they are gone forever

  • "You can do this too! If you're about 15 years old, go out and locate three talented teens who happen to like the same kind of music you do..." It is the writing of the original songs and the uniqueness of the members of this group that are the keys. To "do this too" would require divinely inspired melodies, angel delivered harmonies, and the combination of four uber- talented musician/singers. Many have tried; only a few have come close.

  • You can do this too! If you're about 15 years old, go out and locate three talented teens who happen to like the same kind of music you do. Then, find a way to procure some guitars, drums and amps. Next, practice or play shows several hours a day for about 5 years. You can perform cover versions at first, but somewhere along the way, you need to start writing original songs. If you're good looking, thats a plus. Good luck.

  • 1:29 George <3

  • @wildbeasttamer Clumsy oaf!

  • i know that they're almost sixty years older than me, but i still fangirl over them. :)

  • Mmmmm... George, sorry, but you can't lean on that! :-)

  • lovely recording

  • So many childhood memories of this song, must be in their top 5 all time hits! Class...

  • Live at the BBC.......NO overdubs, NO retakes and NO doubt The Beatles are the best rock band ever, and that's NO shit!

  • probably the most beautiful song ever written

  • we were 14 when they arrived on the ed sullivan show and changed our lives forever..our parents said that when we were in our 60's no one would even remember the beatles or any of their lyrics...how wrong they were and how amazing they have colored the passing of time as we became our parents and had kids of our own...who out there today will be the beatles of tomorrow?.

  • How I love this song, how I love this video, how I love the Beatles.....

    Awwww George, George, GEORGE !!!!!!

What a beautiful upload. Thank you so much.

I agree...Excellent Audio Quality and not only !!!!

    Endless Stars ***********************++

  • His drums loom large in his legend.

They are and will always be the best...hands down!

  • great version

  • we're doing a crossover of A Hard Day's Night, If I fell, And I Love Her, and Can't Buy Me Love in band... It's cool.

  • I like how John trolls Ringo LOL

  • NOT The Beatles.....OMG it's a forgery and the day will come....no it has come that people will fall for it....

  • @raedwulfone um this is the beatles its in the movie they made "a hard days night"

  • Wow, I so miss this kind of music! They were awesome!

  • I'd sing this song to Ringo any day.

  • This song has the MAGIC, to make feel ,say,13,15,...that truly special time when my knee's shook, my heart melted, and I just KNEW ,that I had to tell Her..how much i loved her!!! That was 35 yrs.ago..and I so deperately want to go back,..."IF I FELL".??..how about "IF I Could"(go back)...

  • RIP Steve Genge, My lovely brother who died in August aged 46. You will never EVER be forgotten

    Love

    Sara

  • Briliant - even after 45 years.

Hard Days Night was recorded partly in the Theatre Drury Lane, London WC 1 which was filled with girls from Kingsway Day College as the audience.

  • @jthredland1 You took the words right out of my mouth with "Brilliant".

  • Perfect, just perfect.

  • That was really enjoyable! If I Fell along with This Boy have always been favorites of mine and it was nice to hear this BBC variation. Thank You!

  • This song make me begin a Beatles fan ♥

    This voice ♥

  • A sweet lyric, a sweet swing, a sweet voice. I really love it.

  • Leave them drums alone.

  • @HypocriticalNarwhal he's sulkin again, I'll show him....

  • 1 31 cuidado con el amplificador

  • @FrancoRocks100 jajajaj yeah i dint see that the first time

  • 1 34 cuidado con el amplificador

  • Awh! I love it when Ringo smiles while playing the drums! My heart melts whenever Paul does his little dance. I think it's adoreable when George knocks over the amp, then looks up like 'who, me? Pssssh, naw! I didn't do that!' And I laugh when John walks up to Ringo and sings to him!

The Beatles were royalty, and still are superior to the autotuned crap kids my age listen to today. I guess I'm luck I'm an old soul :)

  • @BeatlesLuver441

I'm only 22 and I agree with you completely. I totally despise the music I grew up with. The stuff my parents had, especially The Beatles, was way better than anything we have today. Anyone that prefers Lady Gaga over the Beatles is merely just jealous, because deep inside they KNOW the Beatles will never be conquered! :D

  • @BeatlesLuver441

I've seen this film so many times I know all the dialogue off by heart... yet I never noticed George knocking over the amp until just now! I must have been staring at Paul too much.

  • @BeatlesLuver441

That makes two of us oldsters who appreciate the quality of Beatles' music - which is far superior to most of what passes for music these days. I feel so privileged to have been around when the Beatles were making musical history and bringing such a sense of excitement to popular music.

  • @itsgoose426

he is singing it as in a way to say he had his heart just broken and doesn't want it to happen again he wants to make sure it will be true.

  • Audio not synched with the video....Hated it!

NOT a BBC video, but straight from the 'Hard Days Night' feature film.....

  • does anyone think it's weird that they sing, "she will cry when she learns we are two" because it sounds like this love song is sung to a man.

  • Love this, thanks for posting

  • "su musica es inmortal "

  • A Hard Day's Night was the earliest Beatles album I remember my mom playing for me when I was very young. It will always stick with me: ) I love this song.

  • This is not "excellent audio quality." This is a bowlderized version with added stuff.

  • Comment removed

  • You have to remember that this was recorded for Radio ..meant to be herd only once ..They did not know at the time there was going to be you tube , and people would be listening to this take 50 years later......50 years ...half a century .

    It was double tracked

  • harmonies don't get any better than this do they?

  • The Week the film "A Hard Day's Night," came out in the UK. I haven't forgot, I've

Got a Beatles book at home in my closet; up on the history.

  • Did anyone see george fall? 1:28 I wish the beatles were all alive and singing again. Wouldn't that be great?

29 people fell in love but then got dumped.

  • BBC- Bealtes Broadcasting Corporation!

  • I love the Beatles, but you must realize this is NOT a real performance of the song. It's the recording played over film of something else...Good enough for the movie, but not of any value as far as a real Beatles performance is concerned.

  • It's so hard to believe that this song has 28 dislikes. I guess haters are everywhere. For me this is the sweetest and most beautiful love song I have ever heard.

  • The Beatles could SING, couldn't they?

  • its not that rare i have the movie

  • It's a very underrated song. I love this song :D great love song

  • Soo good! :)!

  • It is totally disrespectful to REAL musicians like these to even mention the name of guys that cannot sing without a voice effect. We are less numbers today but let's just keep united for real music, brothers and honor them by playing their songs and sharing them with who really appreciates it.

  • I don't worry. If people are making stupid comments and they love Justin Beiber and all that other crap, I don't care, but I do worry for the future. Ok, so I contradicted myself. I worry a bit, but about good taste, I don't.

  • 27 people didn't fall in love

  • @ddikuu i didnt fall in love but i freaking love the song though

  • I wish people would stop adding names of crap pop stars as insults to people who dislike the beatles... are these non-talents worth giving any mention on a video of the greatest band ever?

  • @FabFM completely agree with you

  • I DON'T KNOW BUT TO ME THEY ARE ONE OF THE GREATEST GROUP SINGERS.

  • It took all 4 Beatles to make The Beatles..nothing more nothing less..

  • @coopercity1 thats the reason they are called a group. if on member is missing the group dynamics dissappears

  • Funny how you can definitely hear Paul singing the melody above John's harmony. Which can't be heard as well on the studio recording, since both were doing their best to blend their voices. And also, I guess, just another example of the Beatles trading off from one thing to the next, since John starts the song on the intro, then later shifts to the lower harmony while Paul sings above on the melody..

  • @Tdgonline Totally agree. I posted this same thing on another thread a couple of years ago. They were masters at switching parts with each other, especially John and Paul. Unless you are a singer or musician, it's hard to grasp this concept. We know Harrison was a great baritone on the 3 part stuff, but not many people realize how great a baritone part John and Paul could sing when the need be. Just the greatest band ever.

  • At 1:30 george does fail :)

  • It's driving me insane that people aren't realizing that the video comes from "A Hard Day's Night" and has nothing to do with the BBC recording...

  • @lazrpo was wondering who would notice. Great song; great vid; great live recording but not all at the same time.

  • @lazrpo I was just about to say that myself. And anyone that actually watched the vid would notice right away because everything is off. And you can tell that john isn't singing the right song. This is kind of a fail vid....

  • Yes, the best audio for this song on youtube I think.

  • Best band ever!!! If you like the beatles check out my pageeeeeee yooo!

  • This ia a better 'version' of the famous tune, but still a marginal recording, ESPECIALLY FOR PARLOPHONE or CAPITOL records (on which their songs were appearing at the time). There are plenty of superior stereo recordings from that period. They're just not Beatles songs which, apparently, were not considered worthy of A-list engineering by the above-mentioned labels.

Contrast Getz and Gilberto's classic, also recorded in the early-60's: amazon-daht-com/Getz-Gilberto-Stan/dp/B0000047CX

  • sounds just as good live what masters

  • They sound fantastic "live".

  • biggest fan right here

    their my inspiration

    got all their cartoons albums

    songs

    shirts

    bobble heads

    name it xD

  • DAS LIED IST WUNDERBAR !

  • i relly love ds song...

  • Speed seems fast. Has this video been sped up?

  • @Jermybug The BBC version is probably just faster :D

  • still to this date no band in the world has ever come close to them

  • @njriley55: Don't you think that was a bit harsh - "Doofus"?!? Where did it say it was a studio recording dubbed over the film clip? Let up, man, and aim your vitriole somewhere where it will make a difference to the world... I just find it annoying to watch a video when the performers' lip movements are so far off from the soundtrack - I can't be the only one who feels this way.

  • @pamiejune77 Think about this for a second. This was probably recorded in the 60's and the sound and film quality won't be as good as it would be if it were recorded today. Although it is kind of annoying to watch. It would be best to put it on then go to a different screen.

  • Pauls singing here is way better than the original - maybe its the faster tempo but he sounds a little nervous on the original which is really unusual. By the way the original still sounds awesome. I used to play it consecutively night after night in a little flat I had when I was about 20 and I couldnt get over how good the song was. Pure genuis and thank god they came along while I was a kid born in 1963.

  • emo :DD

  • voce canta uma merda parceiro, como consegue estragar assim hem? se voce gosta da musica, não estraga....kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk...from brazil

  • This was fast forwarded a little. It's going waay to fast.

  • Except that they're not singing this song...OR, the audio is WAAAY off...

  • @pamiejune77 sounds like they are a bit off, that's just live vocals for you. Perhaps they couldn't hear themselves very well.

  • @pamiejune77 Doofus, this is a live audio from the BBC which of course does not match the video which is from A Hard Day's Night"!

  • LOL 1:32 George knocked the speaker down that the guy just set up! :)

  • one of my favorite songs

  • It's the original version or a version from bbc?

Think an other version is a bit, otherlike but nice version too

  • fuckin awesome!!!(:

  • From " A Hard Day's Night" :)

  • One of the best Beatles songs of all time. They owe a big debt to the Everly Brothers on this one in terms of harmony. Then again, John's songwriting will always be missed.

  • Why is John getting on Ringo's nerves?

  • little did they know then that these amps/guitars and would become relics and the sought after sound 30,40 years from then.

  • ew.

  • O ye l love this song

    Greetings greetings from Holland

  • Faster tempo, and George's fantastic Ricky 360 12 right up in themix really lifts it.

  • Me emociona tanto esta canción

  • I love Paul's bass playing and vocal harmonies on this song!

  • Nice but its lip synched. They went to great pains to get their music just right in the studio, and would not be able to repeat that level of perfection in ANY live performance. No one could.

  • @MrHobiecat Yeah, we know that. But this audio is from a live performance, the BBC version. The video here is just to illustrate.

  • @EduardoSDuarte Im not sure about that, it sounds exactly like the album/studio version. I would have to listen to them side by side to be sure. The beatles were excellent stage perfomers in their early years, they paid their dues on the club circuit, but I have seen more than one recorded TV show where they were obviously lip synching to the record. In one, they were not even 'playing' the right instruments on the stage,

  • @MrHobiecat Rest assured it's not the album/studio release.

  • @Tdgonline Nope, sorry. I played this snarfed as an mp3 along with the track from Meet the Beatles. Its identical, including john voice-over singing on both channels (L and R). The beatles did that alot, it gave an increased depth to the stereo. He could not multitrack his own voice in a live performance.

I saw a video of them performing on a british TV show, with a big camera prop in the middle of the stage. They were singing "she loves you" & john was playing a folk guitar, cleary lip sych

  • I absolutely love this song !!! Thanks . G.

  • this is actually from the movie "hard Days Night". where George knocks over the guitar amp accidentally.

  • i love the bealtes man i wish i could of been on one of their concerts! lol this song ahh ima dedicated to my chickenbutt♥

  • Someone add a extra voice here?

  • @LiderDeLosTroIIs Yes someone "added"

  • @LiderDeLosTroIIs

I like your name. That's irrelevant to your topic, but I like it lots.

  • @LiderDeLosTroIIs --- GEORGE ???????????

  • @LiderDeLosTroIIs Ringo! :D Dont FORGET RINGO! :D

  • @LiderDeLosTroIIs john lennon always did back up vocals . :]

  • ok it was at 1-33 lol

  • ok it wqas at 1-33 lol

  • If I fell , well George did at 1-35 lol, but he laughed it off, these guys are/were the best ever absolutely brilliant.

  • The audio is definitely from the Beatles at the BBC - they had a radio series there circa 1964, where they supposedly sang "live" versions of their hits. But it sounds like they did some tinkering with this track, John's vocals sound double tracked. This version was NOT the same one from the Hard Day's Night soundtrack or Capitol's Something New LP.

  • this brittish version of the beatles if i fell is a bit fuller and richer than the american version.

  • 24 people never fell in love before

  • Why does this even have a dislike button?

  • 24 assholes that should hang themselves.

  • @DarwinsFriend No, 24 people who have a different opinion to you. I like this song but I also believe that people have a right to their own views and opinions

  • @grantg60 Perhaps. But moron avoidance is the key to happiness.

These two dozen are obviously morons.

  • WHO THE HELL CNAN NOT LIKE THIS

  • when i hear this my hart fluters

  • sublime purely sublime (not hard to play, makes you wanna play, rough as i am)

  • It doesn't matter how long they sang but how long we listen.

  • hahaha check george at 1:26 :P he's leaning at his amp and its fell down or something:P:P fail lol

  • Big fan !!!

  • Calling this "BBC" version is stupid. It's hard days night lipsink version. I still love it though.

  • its not even good quality

  • hahah oh god john's spazz face cracks me up everytime, that man sure did love making fun of people back in the day. RIP lennon, may your legend live on long after this planet blows itself up

  • Ah John, 30 years ago right now, you were gone.

    We miss you like crazy.

  • Absolutely lovely! :D

  • Wish I could turn back the hands... Great era!

  • i Love you Too

  • 1:28 george about busts his ass again. guess falling face -first in the street at the beginning of the movie wasn't enough

  • I love this song.

  • chills.

  • 24 people is friends with justin bieber and the jonas bros

  • @malo117 And one person is giving Justin Bieber and the Jonas Bros free advertising.

  • The Beatles set the bar so high for THEMSELVES that they imtimidated themselves into never performing together again.

  • Ringo Starr and George Harrison are cute . But here lies the real music . If you want fake music , go search up '' Miley Cyrus . '' Listening to the beatles gives me that warm , happy , feeling inside . Today at my sunday school , I got a paper and drew '' The Beatles . '' '' 1960 - 1971 '' and other things .

  • the Beatles were, are and will be the greatest band in the world

  • @55102 - absolutely agree. There will never be a band as good, as big, or as far in front as they were.

  • @55102 50 years from now, the only rock and roll stars that will be remembered are Elvis Presley and The Beatles. Lady goo goo and Justin what's his name will longgggg since be forgotten, thankfully.

  • @ITILII absolutely right

  • @55102 I TOTALLY AGREE! My uncle's band took their name from a Beatles song. They're known as Y&T which stands for Yesterday & Today. Unfortunately, God took my uncle too early in life as he lost his battle to Stage 4 metastic lung cancer but he was such a great musician that not too many people ever got to hear solo. When I hear The Beatles, I think of my uncle Phil. Like right now, I've got a lump in my throat. Anyways, The Beatles will always be # 1.

  • @NForcerSA I totally feel you, comrade.

  • @NForcerSA

you mean a beatles album, us only, but nice story.

  • @NForcerSA Better get that lump checked out..

  • @55102 The time is right now, and the Beatles’ music is still here exactly like it was then. Actually, it has been remastered and is even better. The Beatles have been frozen in time still young, waiting for us to evolve enough to hear what the music contains. Go to TruthContest (dot) com and open The Present, then read the section about The Beatles. Pass this on to every Beatles fan you know.

  • @vividDC completely agree

  • @vividDC malignant narcissist you are.

  • @55102 always

  • @55102 The Beatles were the strongest voice of a generation of many strong, talented voices. Nature set them apart for a reason. It is so we do not just think they were just another great band, so we look closer and listen a little better. When we do, we will that they were prophets. Go to TruthContest (dot) com, open The Present, and read the section about The Beatles.
