Hinata doesn't even give her reason, she doesn't say she loves him?! Ughhh!! That was such a huge moment in the manga, and it was ruined by removing three words! It was a great boss fight, but that really killed a good moment for me.

A shame they didn't really give the slug any screen time or mention. But I guess it would cost more to make models and such.

I noticed that Naruto's mouth flaps seemed to match far closely then usual. It's nice to see they tried their best for this.

I really love this boss battle. It's great, and, iirc, doesn't have some of the "problems" (I think it was mostly animation style) the anime did.

@snowyarticuno It's oddly inconsistent. For instance, right before the boss battle with Itachi, Itachi's mouth flaps matched pretty well while Sasuke's did not. It was really bad at one point after Jiraiya vs. Pain, and especially when Deidara is about to explode.

I just find it funny that Naruto has a nine-tailed fox (kitsune) in him, because the mythology is that they commonly possess women (through their breasts or fingernails) or disguise as them, just to sleep with, trick or kill men. It makes me chuckle.

@ChromaAurora Most of the Tailed Beasts are based on Japanese folklore--the kitsune just happens to have the largest number of tails among them. And, of course, female shonen protagonists rarely work well unless played for sex.

I was just making the point I mind it amusing that a kitsune has possessed a man. If you've played Okami, then I think how it handles the myth is more accurate.

@ChromaAurora Sure it can. Sailor Moon and all of her comrades practically kick-started the sailor-fuku fetish. (Sailor-fuku are schoolgirl uniforms that resemble sailor outfits.) Japan is a pretty misogynistic country, its gender equality rights far behind most other industrialized nations. Did you know a woman in Japan cannot be married and have a job at the same time?

Okami is based directly on the myths regarding Izanagi. Naruto (the series) simply takes elements from them.
