the ending terrified me more than the nightmares i had as a young child..and trust me thats saying something. i think its mostly because it was so unexpected..i was literally frozen in my spot for the duration of the credits.

tip: dont show a young child this film unless you want them traumatised for a while

I frickin' love this trailer. Even the editing in the previews is brilliant. I also like the way it appears to end, and then suddenly picks back up with the "near spoiler" shot and ends it on that note. Very cool!! Besides, JC really is a goddess. Get it? JC??

This is one of the scariest movies ever made. It just creates this sense of dread and the tension is terrifying. I watched it alone at night....big mistake. Another creepy one is The Changeling, with George C. Scott.

The point of this film in my opinion is that his death is salvation for the death of his daughter, the dwarf simply is only for element of surprise in a dramatic sense to create momentum that has no meaning other than spontaneous reaction.

I watched the Man Who Fell to Earth after reading the book and was left cold by the movie. Now I am hesitant about watching anything directed by Nicholas Roeg. Is the style like the Man Who Fell to Earth, or is this a movie unique to other Roeg movies? I am looking for a really good supernatural horror to watch.

I've seen bits and pieces of that David Bowie film, and it was too bizarre for me. Plus, full nudity on him...no comment. Anyway, Don't Look Now is a GREAT supernatural movie that will SCARE you if you love slow building atmospheric horror that favors mood over blood and gore. It scared the crap out of me and I loved it! Also see The Changeling.

you bet it does.. i saw it and i think the sex scene is one of the most beautiful ever *smile* commited in history. Way much better off than the rest of hollywood's (fatal attraction,etc) Very realistic..

And it impressed me that it was unsimulated. I mean, the fuss over this scene apparently is quite necessary. I believe they were really doing it (despite sutherland had explained that it wasn't)

Anyway, One of the most magnificent work either! a masterfully crafted horror (or drama mystery?)
