i got as far as the level where you're underground with those creatures and stopped playing for some reason..looking at this walkthrough im baffled as to why i didn't finish this game..its brilliant

I ran up to where he took cover (00:17), grabbed the sniper rifle, and took cover behind the stair case. I used the sniper rifle on the machine gunner and my hand gun on anyone who tried to sneak up on me. This was actually the game that sold the PS3 for me. My wife actually loves to watch me play but I don't think i can take her shouting at me anymore... :-)

I ran up ignoring the other guys, and took over the machine gun..kinda like how this guy did it. :] You have to watch your sides though, don't get blindsided just because you weren't looking. Even when youre up on the machine gun they just run up by the stairs...Don't be stupid enough to think you're invincible like my bro...-.-;

That's pretty smart, getting up on the banister and using that gun. I may try that, but since I'm doing crushing difficulty and will die after one or two gunshots, I don't know if I can make it up there.

I like how the game only allows you to carry two guns at a time. It kind of makes it realistic, rather then a treasure hunter running around the island carrying a whole platoon load of weapons.

I've got a cheat for this level if you go to the side when you enter you'll see that there is no banister jump over there when you land roll behind the boxes then throw a grenade at the guy using the turret jump over the box and go behind the next set then run around the other set and run for the door run for the top hide behind cover at the top kill the guy at top stay behind cover and when your ready wind up the thing to open the door and run to the door :)

Our playstyle is different. At 0:09, instead of turning left to go down the stairs, I'd keep on going straight and jump to where that window is. You'll find a small, safe nook to hide in. Plus, the DRAGON SNIPER gun there helps......

In other words, instead of turning left at the stairs, keep on going straight and jump off the ledge to where that windwo is. Why? You'll find a DRAGON SNIPER gun that you can use to snipe the guy in the turret and pretty much everyone else.
