back leaning stance should be used for the inside palm block then changed to cat stance im pretty sure? uso, im learning this kata at the moment from 5th dan uso
@brasshandmartialarts Funny, I'm sure I've never seen a single kyokushin karateka wear a shirt to perform in any competition, or even to train. Girls wear them if they're not comfortable with just a sports bra. I also recall several occasions where I read and was told that wearing a shirt is the rude thing to do. Not ONCE have I seen a guy wear a shirt under his gi. They sometimes take off the kimono and train shirtless for certain exercises. I have no clue where you're coming from.
That's ridiculous, I never wear a shirt under my dogi and I would never expect anyone else to unless they were shy about going shirtless under it. Never have I taken a class where it was expected. It is not a sign of disrespect by any means at all. Please do not place your dojo's guidelines on the rest of the world.
The sensei for my division who just went for Shihan also had other black belts grading for 2nd and 3rd dan with him and one of them was wearing a black t-shirt under the dogi and it was one of the reasons for not getting his dan. The shirt was considered rude and was told so only after he had left.
sumtimes on the internet i can be a complete ass and im sorry for that, but in the real world i take my training very seriously as i want to be a great fighter, thanks
yeah of course i was just kidding around, i am allways respectful at my training and at kyokushin events. But if it were a tournament outside of kyokushin like K1 fighting or somthing id be myself, which is shritless and ruthless. But at training and in the presence of other kyokushin i will observe the rules of courtesy and respect my superiors.
Ha! Finally I found out what style Jin uses in Tekken 4 on. When it said it was a traditional style, I kept looking through shotokan-ryu, shito-ryu, wado-ryu, and goju-ryu katas. They are technically the original 4, however Kyokushin kai was developed in Japan, where the others were brought over by Okinawan masters. Tricky, ha ha.
yes that is correct, also kazuya mashima uses many kyokushin techniques as well, i love the fact that i do kyokushin knowing that i can fight like a character in a video game, minus the electricity and overly powered attacks lol
I learned this kata yesterday, I liked it. I like the karate kid block that karate kid learned by painting the fence:P Its is the second one in the three blocks that are used after each other in this kata.

Step 16 suggestion: upon turning 180 degrees, should be hind leg moving forward, so that the kata ends at the same spot as the beginning.

Kazuya has this move in tekken 5 that is an actual move i can do in kyokushin karate.
You press Back+O and he does a Jodan Mawashi Geri which knocks your opponent out instantly, then you press Down+O an he stomps on their body!
