  • i thought it was pretty good... unique.... a little off time though

  • ...

did i really just watch that?

    it was... life changing.

I'm never going to be the same!

  • I loved the part at 4:33

  • are these comments bs?? bc i dont hear shit!! o_O

  • @EdithGuOropeza You're an idiot, read a book.

  • @benvarian You're a dumbass, go suck a dick.

  • @EdithGuOropeza This is called John Cage Silence composition. Your a little bit gullable. :) JK

  • I loved the artistic flair at the bridge of the song.

  • Did you put this together from the sheet music or did you go by ear? It's pretty accurate to the original!

  • I don't hear anything??

  • @MurderMan11 That's the point. The original piece was meant to have the audience listen to their surroundings as the "music".

  • @MurderMan11 That's the point.

  • hmm in some parts, your tempo was a bit off. But overall, it was nice! :D

  • there is no music....

  • @PhunWitVids the whole composition is practically sheer silence. simply nothing. 4'33" would just consist the sounds of one's environment while it's being played.

  • I think you took the tempo a little too quickly. Also, i didn't really enjoy this version, as it sounds purely mechanical and there's no emotion whatsoever.

  • This song should be on Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and Frets on Fire.

  • man, get a life! this must have taken fucking forever! good job though, and i really respect it though u must have no life to copy it so perfectly...

  • oh i get it

  • My dad just burst in and told me to turn this shit down.

  • THIS IS WMG (world musical gestapo). THIS IS A COPYRIGHT VIOLATION AND YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE TERMINATED!

    fwmg!

  • that is just amazing...how do you do that? I mean wow....how easy to write Thriller compared with this!

  • Everything about this is genius. Cage FTW.

  • 3:00 that is the fucking best part!!!!

  • WOW WTF!! ITs Flawless!!!

  • i don't get it i can't hear any thing

  • ... so am i missing something here or what?

  • wow what an overachiever

  • where'd u get this software

  • gimme a 320kbps mp3!!!!!!!

  • Watching the video is actually pretty depressing... nothing is going on :(

  • @ConfusedProud

You're missing all those beautiful pauses :)

  • I was gonna do this, figures it woulda already been done a long time ago though.

  • Best song in the world

  • good song

  • Hahahaha Genius!!!!

  • 1:36 the best part, don't even disagree with me.

  • What the fuck is this for a video?

  • @12NiBer12 nooooooob!

  • NEED A REMIX!!!!!

  • This song is something I will never forget for the rest of my life.

  • it's really difficult to play this masterpiece :) it's not a joke! It's a mental piece!

  • This song is gonna be stuck in my head all day.

  • I love this song. It's so moving, but it maintains a wonderfully pensive ambiance. I especially love the movement towards the end, at 3:42.

  • Laptop speakers always take away from sound quality, but it's still good enough!

  • genial!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mario Paint plays this song by default. Everyone knows that.

  • Awesome.

  • Was it really put to a 4/4 time signature? I thought it was 2/1.

  • Masterpiece of music

  • OMG THIS IS AWESOME!

  • I have a strange problem listening to this piece. The computer I use to watch it has a strange noise problem in which a soft but audible tone is produced... through the line outs AND the speakers. Effectively, it nulls the point of the composition!

  • haha this is neat !

almost beats his live performances of this song.

  • This isn't the correct version. The original didn't have a repeat at 2:06

  • You screwed up at 2:12, I think, but this was otherwise flawless.

  • It's beautiful.

  • YouTube has everything

  • You know what? I watched the orchestra version and was bored to tears within the first 2 seconds but I actually sat through and watched this from start to finish. Why? just watching him run across the page was so mesmerizing....Even though the "song" is crap and people who buy into it are idiots this video was awesome!

  • @kydrice It is not a song. It is a piece. Not every composition is a song.

  • @DarkZekeX This isn't sung, nor does it have any other vocal parts.

  • @marcoxmeijer Thank you. I'm well aware. That is why I told somebody else it isn't a song.

  • This is STUNNING!!!!!! WOW.

  • this is just AMAZING :D now do beethovens moonlight sonata, the 3rd movement

  • Holy crap man that must have taken a tremendous amount of effort? How did you do it? Kudos! Really great job man, all those hours you obviously spent were not wasted. *clap*

  • roflmao

  • It's not supposed to. The purpose of 4'33" is that the ambient noise around you is the music.

  • I can play this on most instruments, except for the trumpet and violin.

  • I love the execution, no missed notes, it is almost impossible to tell the difference from the original. 5/5.

  • no good no notes ??

  • You owe me 4:33 minutes of my life back

  • you messed up at 3:54

  • Actually, he was just a little bit flat at that point. However, one can see as though he used Cage's music in a more Baroque way....so t speak of course

  • @marioaddict1 That's okay, we'll fix it in the final mixdown!

  • That's the funniest (and ballsiest) thing I've ever seen! Great idea, terrific interpretation! Peace.

  • great idea, but you overlooked the piece's original structure in 3 movements (with no ritornellos). besides, you cheated - fading out at 4'33" is not a very elegant way to end a piece!

  • what key is this piece in?i want to perform it for my recital.

  • B-double-flat major.

  • but... there are 10 movements,

it supposes to be 3 of them

jajaja although is the best performance of this "song" than i´ve seen

    \../,

  • this might be the most awesome video in history....

  • this here. is gods voice.

  • groundshaking earthmoving, well-executed well though out a masterpiece of modern music

  • The surprising bit with the printer calibrating at around 34 seconds is especially effective.

  • Oh, my. That's just almost as good as Frank Zappa's version. Great work.

  • Cool thing about this is the difference between this and the performance hall is now we've incorporated the sound of the computer humming in the environment.

  • What a stunning rendition of an already beautiful piece! The tacet ostinato starting around 1:16 was particularly impressive... I expect great Mario Painting to come, OHNOinc!!! 5/5

  • This...is beautiful. You've captured the soul of this piece perfectly. I love it.

  • super fucking funny.

  • OMG

The tone! The octave! The tempo! Th sound quality1

    ITS PERFECT!!!!

  • o_0

    *dumbfounded*

    daaaah.......

  • The tempo was a bit slow, but besides that PERFECT!!!!!!!!

  • pure tacet

  • What the fuck? O .o BRAVO!

    *clap*

    ENCOUR

    FREE BIRD! :D

  • Perfect. Now I'm in tears with such a delightful perfomance of this milestone on contemporary classical music.

  • you missed a note at 1:23

still one of the best fan-made performance I have heard from now on.

  • Funny

  • This is pure genius. Why didn't I ever think of this?

  • You played it perfectly.

  • I would call you the Beethoven of the modern world. Thank you The silence from 0:00 - 4:33 left me in suspense, I didn't know when or if the music would start. Bravo, encore. LOL

  • Beethoven didn't write this masterpiece

  • @omgwtfbbq6666 Plus, Beethoven COULDN'T write this masterpiece.

  • this is......the BEST piece i've ever heard!! it's just so BEAUTIFUL!!! <3

  • Absolutely amazing.

  • i was almost driven to tears! such a beautifull piece

  • this makes me tired

  • This must surely have taken a lot of time to make.

  • The chorus was epic.

  • there are no notes its empty

  • yes... thats the idea of 4:33 SILENCE!

  • It was sarcasm.

  • Absolute perfection, I could swear I was listening to it live!

  • My mind has just been blown. This is the most original performance of 4'33" I've heard/seen since one involving 16 saxophones and a banjo.

  • HOLY SHI

  • Shit's classy, dogg.

  • i lolled

  • lmao

  • sorry about my old comment.i understand it now and i rated it 5 stars. ;)

  • I like it a lot.

  • How long did this take you to make?

  • The song 4'33" has the performer do nothing!

  • have you ever heard 4'33 then?

  • That's what 4'33" is all about!

  • john cage would be proud

  • 0:55

    Love that part.

  • Wonderful. Simply wonderful.

  • I'm...in awe

  • Absolutely stunning.

  • I couldnt hear any of the brass instruments, way too subtle.

  • pretty much brilliant

  • I don't know man, I don't like how this interpretation of the piece doesn't pause between the movements.

  • The pauses aren't required. In fact according ot the score the times themselves are optional. It could even be ten minutes, or one minute if you please.

  • only would have been better is if it said now find the one note in the song at the end :P

  • This is possibly the BEST MARIO PAINT VIDEO IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!!!!

    9001/5!

  • 9001 is a garbage meme.

  • Is it really?

    My bad.

    9002/5!

  • omg ur so good...ive been trying to get this for a while and i just cant nail it. 11 stars!

  • Truly brilliant!

    Kudos.

  • I can't wait till this comes out in Guitar Hero.

  • I can sing 4'33. Can anyone beat that? I think not.

  • The cool think about 4'33 is that you don't even need the file to put it up as a video on youtube!

    Silence=Music!

  • amazing. everyone curious should look up 4' 33. it took me a month to perfect on the oboe but it was worth it.

  • LOL

  • *note

  • not the part where its a silent composition?

  • Awesome! 16,9/5

  • ...theres nothing there!!!! IM SOOO CONFUSED

  • I learned how to play this on acoustic guitar. Took about two months of practice but I can play it flawlessly. Let me know if someone wants me to make a video of it.

  • I can play this pretty well on guitar, I screw up at a few places (including that tough part at about 1:13, I always accidentally hit a G# instead of nothing)

Danieldeiber, I would love to hear your rendition

  • @NorthCampusRevue

To be honest, this sounds virtually identical to my rendition on acoustic guitar, and I suspect they may have stolen the audio from my rendition and used it here without my permission.

  • lololololollolololololollllolll

  • there is nithing there >:O

  • omg idiot

  • all im saying is that there isnt anything there.

  • yes, and it's still stupid to say that because it's pretty obvious why there isn't anything

  • i never said it wasnt obvious.

  • %&/()=)=)$")?!arrrhhggg!!!! forget it.

  • Sweet! I'm gonna try playing this on my new ocarina!

  • im confused in all ways i read the comments some people love it and others are saying fuck u and i say what is there supposed to be no notes and no sound if yes then fuck u!

  • The original "4'33" is a song that consists of 4 minutes and 33 seconds of silence. So if anything you need to direct your "fuck u" to John Cage.

  • wow. how mind blowing. bravo! lol

  • omg can you send me the notes
