  • You make the Kitchener stitch seem so easy. These are great instructions. Thank you so much. I think I finally got it!!!

  • This was the MOST helpful video I've watched abut a dozen on this stitch and still after I've made 6 pairs of socks I've messed up the kitchener stitch every time. But thanks to you I finally mastered it! Thanks so much!

  • Fantastic!

  • Thanks for this video I have read many books but to see rewind and review as needed when needed. Thanks for your time

    Kisses

    Regina

  • Your video makes this stitch seem so easy. I was very confused and not sure what to do or when to take a stitch off. The k off p, purl off k , etc. makes it understandable. Thank you so much.

  • you are the first that made it easier than others by repeating k/p p/k it works I am soooo happy thank you

  • Thank You so much. This is the easiest way to kitchener. I am not afraid anymore. BTW I love your books : )

  • LOVE this....other vids for this stitch are confusing. You did great! Thank you!

  • Wow!!! Thank you very much!!!! I am new to knitting and am getting ready to start my first pair of socks and was wondering how I was going to bind off the ends of the socks!!!! Very helpful video!

  • Finally some directions that are understandable! NOW I can finish my sock, thanks to you!

  • Finally some directions that are understandable! NOW I can finish my sock, thanks to you!

  • Finally! I'll be able to remember this! This "mantra" is just what I was searching for! It makes sense!

  • Thanks for this awesome video - you are my new best friend. God bless you!!!!!D Off to finish up my sock now!

  • THANK YOU!!! Finally I can do it. I have read the directions watched other videos and you just made a little rhyme-ish mantra and it helped me so much. Before now the toe of my socks were scary bad. THANK YOU!!!

  • At last - I do believe I finally understand. Whoo hoo. I'm off to finish my second sock toe and put them on.

  • these directions seem much more smart than i did. my sock ends are a disaster D:

  • Thanks for this awesome video - you are my new best friend :-D Off to finish up my sock now!

  • This was the best video I've seen yet. quick, simple and to the point. Your socks look nice too. Great job on your video.

  • Hi - I looked up lots of videos how to graft the toe but this was by far the best. I recently had to buy a new laptop and wondered if I would ever find you again, so glad I did! A zillion thanks for posting this, I think you've helped a lot of knitters.

  • wow! nice socks :D i wanna see a video where someone teaches me how to knit socks. that'd be cool!

  • Every time I finish a sock (I've made about 6 pairs now...) I go to youtube for your reminder! Thanks for this!

  • You are awesome! Your montra really clears up how to keep this in my brain.

    Thanks so much!

  • Were those socks done using worsted or sock weight yarn? I've knitted one sock using worsted weight yarn & the size 7 US dpns I had available. It's more like a slipper than a sock. It was my first sock so there are gaps @ the start of the gussets, LOL! Thank you for the clear instructions on how to graft the toe!

  • Your instructions were the clearest I could find. Thank you for taking the time to show this to all. Happy knitting.

  • Thanks for the very clear instructions and demonstration! I love your socks - what yarn did you use??

  • Thanks for the great demo - very clear and helpful. What yarn did you use for this sock? It is so cute!!

  • I love your directions - well done! What yarn did you use for these socks - they are so cute!

  • Thanks, your shortcut to remember is very helpful and addictive! But exactly what do you do with the yarn on the tapestry needle when you are finished?

  • You pull the end through to the inside of the sock, weave the end through several stitches and them trim the end.

  • Being able to watch, listen, and read directions makes learning so much easier. In the past I have always been discouraged by my inability to put into practice written instructions. Thanks so much.

  • you are a great teacher... THAT IS GREAT!

  • why are the colours of the tips different?

  • Thank goodness. Been trying to work this out from various videos. The most clear one I've found, and now my sock is done!!

  • Thank to your video I will always remember the gart stich. The technique you show is much more simple than the one you normally find in books and other youtube videos. Thanks!

  • Those are the most fun socks i've ever seen! I would do a happy dance if you would do a tutorial on how to do these socks. Hope you consider this:)

  • A HUGE thankyou for this - never could quite make sense of pictoral instructions but seeing it done makes it really obvious - duh!!!

Look forward to using the Kitchener stitch, now, instead of mushing my way through a toe!!

  • Thank you for this explanation. Even I could understand it!

  • I dont make socks often but i found your instructions to be very helpful and very easy to fallow, so thank you for posting this. :)

  • This is the best demonstration of this tricky technique that I've seen...thanks.

  • please consider a video demonstrating cast on two socks on one circular needle??

    Thank you.

  • Excellent direction. Unable to see any close up of knitting

  • Just wanted to say thanks for the video! It was super helpful and after watching it just once I kitchenered up the toe of my sock, no problem. Thanks!!

  • this is the second time i have used this video to close a toe. thanks to you, i have my first pair of socks!

    i LOVE the yarn!!

  • ...knit, off pearl, pearl off, knit. By Jove I think I've got it. Thanks to my friend for sending me the web address for your instructions. You should see the mess I made of the Kitchener toes on the socks I just finished. I can't wait to make another pair - and show my children the glorious finish you just taught. Thanks, Joyce

  • Did you knit with different colors? Did you weave in the tails? Thank you for your help. B

  • It it self-striping yarn and you always weave the tails in.

    good luck!

  • How much yarn should I leave to close the last 12 stitches? Thank you. love your socks!

  • About 12-inches should work fine.

  • I was so intimidated by the kitchener stitch, and read up on it, and just got so confused, and was sure it was too hard for me. You're video made it look so easy, I can't believe how easy it is! Thanks so much!!

  • this must be one of the simplest explanations ive found thank you :o)

  • Awesome!! I can't wait to start trying my hand at knitting socks. I've heard that it's terribly hard though so I'm a bit intimidated at the thought though.

  • EXCELLENT video...you made it easy for me...thank you!!

  • I won't to thank you. Your video on the kitchener stitch realy made it easy for me.

    Sarah

  • Super tutorial! I just finished my first pair of socks and since I had never tried the kitchener stitch, I wanted a tutorial with lots of pictures--my socks are now perfect! Thank you!!!
