The amount of work the robot has to do to scan and orientate, would have been science fiction not that long ago, this is an impressive feat! In proper respects more impressive then kicking a pink ball

It's a SCANNER! Wow, I am so teaching my aibo to do this to scan my docs. Cool! ;-P

I dont think it's manipulating that paper, it's just moving it's front legs.

Heh, what do you call gymnastics? "Just moving your legs"? ;)
Anyway, there's a remote control off-camera directing what type of motion to apply to the paper. In this case, it rotates the paper sideways, and then slides it back and forth a few times. (i.e. it's intentional)
