@TheMango121 Whereas Rebellion Developments is dead in terms of quality (NeverDead was directed by ex-Kojima Productions member and it still failed) I'm not saying the same here. SOCOM failed because it's online code was not done well. The problem with it was the fact that it was soley made for online gaming. And neither Sony or Slant Six ever patched that. But Confortation was relased in 2008 and I think that Slant Six has improved from that.

I'm sure this is just a change of pace. RE developers wanted to try something different. I'm all for variety. You can't get pissed when something changes. I'm almost positive every RE game after this wont be a Run and Gun. If this flops, they won't make more like it. And if it succeeds, I'm sure it'll just be its own saga of games. It wont effect the rest of the RE universe

I don't mind third person run and gun shooting games, despite that they're all that's being made at the moment, but I think they should have made this into a completely separate game to the Resident Evil series. The Resident Evil series should be a good slow paced survival horror, that's what people love about them.

@TheMango121 RE5 was made in response to the "fans" who wanted another RE4 with the same engine only refined an they got it. RE6 is going down that same path, I love the original REs I have all three black labeled ps titles and the REmake but I'd say the fans who want the survival horror are in the minority. It was the same with FFXIII alot of gamers hated the game but it sold enough for SE to warrant a sequel. Capcom only does things to pitch sales and creativity despite opinions.

@TheMango121 I'm not comparing the two in execution I love RE4 more than 5 cause it's closer to the original REs in many ways and I'm still playing it. I'm only saying its known that just the game mechanics are more refined in 5 though the A.I and inventory menus were horrible. Coop isn't too bad if they fix the annoyances but from what's the IN these days it's online gaming and capcom knows it'll bring in more sales for RE. Survival Horror fans sadly, like Nintendo are being slowly phased out
