The APS is the way to go. I have tried everything from soil blocks to peat pots. I found the APS is the most fool-proof way of starting seeds. :0)

Why go to the expense of buying plastic or peat pots etc , I use used cardboard toilet roll tubes for all my seeds, onion sets and shallots.
