  • yes geneogically we are related and yes their are similarities between the dance of africa and the cook islands but like all things human we have evolved and our dance/music represents the 12 inhabited islands of the cook group one major difference between us and africa is the language i believe you will agree on that point may god watch over us all thankyou maata e kia manuia kotou katoatoa aroa nui.

    As an African myself, who knows our varied dances, I agree that it IS very Africanish.

    The signs are obviously there, but they wouldn't know that; the history must be somewhat forgotten if one cannot obviously notice it. lol
