Judging by some of the comments by people claiming to have attended Aberdeen university I would say it's less of an academic and more of a party university as many of you can't spell or use a spell checker. Aberdeen itself is a great city unless you have an English accent. I am surprised AU can't cobble together a better promo video though.

I counted one (perhaps two) accents from Aberdeen ( or Aberdeenshire). The two girls. The other Scots were either not Aberdonian, or the Scottish Standard English had penetrated their mouths.

If you want an example of someone who grew up in Aberdeen who sounds nothing like your average Aberdonian, search 'Michael Gove', Conservative MP. He was educated at Robert Gordon's College.

Im from Seattle, and i am entirely in love with the university of aberdeen. i think it looks like a wonderful school. its rather far from home though, but i hope to at least apply to aberdeen in the fall of this year.
