im only 36 yrs old but my mother used to listen to this when i was 15,,,i hated it then,,,now its good music, not like most of the shit today,,you were right mom,one day i will apreciate it ,she told me,,,LOVE YOU MOM XOXO
I've loved Ferrante and Teicher ever since I was a young teen and Malaguena was always one of my favorite piano pieces. It was always my dream to play like them but no one could ever top this talented duo. RIP Mr. Ferrante.
Another tremendously enjoyable F. & T. clip, w/ a wonderfully florid arrangement being played live on stage...1 does wonder why they were categorized as "easy listening" when there is such a level of virtuosity integrated into what they did--but that's categories for you! Thanx so much for posting!!
God, I miss the days when you could play this on the radio (as a disk jockey), sit there with the speakers wide open, getting lost in the music and everyone loved it.
My Grandmother introduced me to Ferrante and Teicher when I was a teenager in the 60s while taking piano lessons from her. I loved listening to Authur Ferrante and Lou Teicher ever since then and still do today. I was shocked when I had heard that Lou and nearly one year later Art had passed away. Thank God we have their wonderful music recorded. I sincerely miss them both. Tom in Omaha
I played this song for a recital when I was a kid. It was difficult to play, but I finally managed. Thanks for putting it one youtube. It brings back so many memories.
I am sad to report that Arthur Ferrante died on September 19, 2009 at his home in Longboat Key, Florida. He was 88. He will be missed, but his legacy lives on through his music along with partner, Louis Teicher
Great arrangement! Nice to see the spl;it-screen of both playing as well as the cutaways to percussionists and string players. Is this available on a DVD?
Why do people/critics refer to Ferrante & Teicher as "Gods of easy listening."? There's nothing "EZ" about this performance...guess F & T were men of many talents. Magnificent dynamic performance!!
critics are vultures. if something is high brow and people like it then they have to lower it to low brow, if something is low brow and people hate it then its high art. critics are people who simply stayed in school after other people learned things and kissed ass to get magazine jobs.
Lou Teicher, half of the piano duo Ferrante & Teicher, whose florid and sentimental versions of movie themes and love songs made them gods of easy listening and earned them wide popularity beginning in the 1960s, died on Sunday in Highlands, N.C. He was 83 and lived in Sarasota, Fla.
They are still living near each other in Florida, of course. They are planning a come back. The first performance will be at a large rest home in Tampa. EM will be on hand with plenty of oxygen and rum and coke. Jes kiddin, they are one of my all time favorites.

Great fun to listen to these boys play. Somebody should have buried their jackets out in the badlands, don't you think?

These two Ferrante & Teicher stand alone in musical excellence. Always a pleasure to share their works.

Thanks mariel 229 ! I am actually looking for "etude" version of
Ferrante & Teicher . They have a good arrangement of "no Other Love."

Glad they are still favorites of yours. Your other comments are repugnant. Even at their ages they could twist you like a pretzel.
