@zemixis a nitro rc car uses a glowplug instead of a spark plug nitro fuel is a mix of ethanol a lubricant and nitromethane .nitro rc cars wont run on petrol that has not been mixed with a lighter fuel as a glowplug is not powerful enough to ignite petrol on is own.

@zemixis nitro is nearly always more expensive than petrol but the higher the nitro content the more the fuel will cost tipically 25% nitro costs more than16% nitro. in the uk petrol costs about £1.50 per litre and 16% nitro fuel costs about £8 per litre.any more questions are welcome or PM me.

@zemixis nitro id say are cheaper for first year depending on how much you use. i have a petrol baja and a nitro amax leopard. baja was £400 new amax £190 but the amax soon caught up (new engine, fuel)
