There are also many examples of people copying with minor improvements. Large businesses will often make false accusations knowing their target will often tuck tail and run because they don't understand the law. It's perfected bullying at it's highest level.

This project has been on the backburner for years, and don't try to tell anyone otherwise =/ I joined your forum and offered my help quite some time ago. I think you were the only poster, and you'd basically quit at the time.

In as much as this intro was cool and got our hopes up, it's about time you just admitted that you gave up on it years ago. Let's be honest really, you never got much more than this opening and some highly basic Terra models done.

What, you think that because the only media released to the public was this intro video and a few basic images of some WIP stuff, that that means there was absolutely nothing else done in the game? Of the 2 years of active work I did on this project, those things took a grand total of maybe a couple months.

On top of that, you talk down to me as if I've been in denial about where my life has been going, and I need to own up to some sort of lies that I've been spreading.

Just because I'm not actively working on this project specifically doesn't mean that it's not progressing-- my current project is using the same game engine framework, and I've been improving it non-stop since my last post for this game, which means if I go back to FFVI3D, it will have a LOT of new stuff done.

@bobaneko well FFXIII's battle system was a little clearer than FFXII's battle system. you had to run around and find the command like a real time except they did the action based on your order. but still i love the old final fantasy command and action menu. they had better make a remake of FFVI, it really deserves it

To tell the truth, it's looking more and more like the project is going to continue as far as the game engine goes, but will likely be dropping the FFVI aspect of it.

Really, the whole point of the project in the beginning was to work on a game engine anyways, it's just that using an existing game to remake made it so I didn't have to worry about game -content- to speak of.

@Terikan2 The website for the project has some pictures and such but...=( it also hasn't been posted on in over half a year...so it's not a fake, he did plan to do it at one point, because we had a Terra model and other things, but...

While I appreciate the interest, unfortunately those skills will not help this project, as everything is being created from scratch, including whatever scripting language I decide to use for bosses/monsters.

It's still going, but slowly. Nothing has happened to prevent it's progress, but there really hasn't been a lot to show, more than the teaser trailer shows- it's mostly background/framework stuff.

@HyperSonicSquall Absolutely - Square will let you put forth all the effort you want, get about 85% done with it and then slap you with a "cease and desist" letter so you're project is dead in the water, and wasted for no one to see.

@akRedmage A Cease and Desist letter really only applies to businesses. I don't know if the developers for Chrono Resurrection was registered as a business, or just was too scared to take a chance. But such a letter only causes the user to forcefully stop their business operations. If you're not running a business, this really doesn't mean anything. If they could target non-business individuals the Linux community would be in trouble.

Final Fantasy 1 and 2 were both on the Nintendo first, and got PSP Remakes after GBA remakes, just like IV, V and VI got. Who are you to say it can't be on the PSP?

Don't know if N-domo still checks his Youtube stuff, but here's the lowdown: he now has a small staff (eh.. 2-3 people, but still...) and he has decided to just do it on the PC because of programming issues. Far as I know, he is still working on it and the engine is NOW WORKING! He is currently working on battle state and such and his art and render guys are working hard.

What you've done looks really good, but I have to agree with some of the comments below.

This is a tremendous undertaking. It's not that you won't be up to the task, but it's a whole lot of work, and there's a good possibility if you want to do this the honest way, you'll get far into production, Square-Enix will suddenly care, and they'll shut you down.

You wouldn't be the first.
