Yes redhook you might be on to something there! Didn't Jack Bruce use the same type of bass? We all know the kind of thick, dirty, bass sound that he produced with his bass. Can you think of any more who used it?

But don't despair, there is still a lot of fantastic new music. Every decade had it's crap, & every one - even today - has it's brilliant stuff.

I was AT the Aqualung concert, and have seen Tull probably 20x since. I also was present at early and late Zeppelin, Sabbath, Yes, Zappa, Aerosmith (local & before famous), Allman Bros, Santana, you name it. My only regret was I never saw the Who live.
@keltoid it's fun that i saw none of all the great names that you've said... except the Who... but man ...maybe your cause is not lost ... in the 2-3 years the who will surely make a few dates before the real final break up... it depends on the ear problems of Pete Townshend...
