  • I would KILL to play in a church like that! The acoustics would be ORGASMIC!!!!!!

  • the one dislike is a violin player

  • @holawwei

But...I'm a violin player, and I love this soloist. :(

  • @ac1derin6 maybe is someone who don know music!

  • @ac1derin6 start playing tuba :D

  • 5:49-6:15

Drives me to tears. Every time.

  • Why would you put the camera away from Oystein Baadsvik!?!

  • ultimo gigantico :-)

  • I don't play tuba. But, I love it. Magnific!!!!!!

  • Very very nice. Thats all I can say. Wish I could be apart of somthing like this one day. Most beautiful tuba sound I have ever heard.

  • Baadsvik for all my life :D

  • Einfach genial!!!!

  • I play tuba... I gotta say he has monster chops

  • @jimmyjxia Cause he's Oystein Baadsvik! He's up there with like Pat Sheridan and Charles Daellenbach!

  • A very impressive performance....great soloist with good control and quite musical. Also a very fine group backing the soloist, very 'tight' and very musical. I've loved this melody but this is the first time I've heard it used for a tuba solo and I enjoyed very much! My congrats to the conductor, the ensemble and to the soloist!

  • very very good

  • Wow, I just stumbled onto this video looking for an oboe solo. Everything about it literally made me cry; the church building, the majestic sound of the brass ensemble, and the melancholic and yet powerful sound of the tuba. Great video.

  • just love this :)

  • everything sounds better on tuba

  • the acoustics in that church (i'm guessing) is incredible

  • Normally tubas are in the background going dop dop dop dop. Great to hear them in the spotlight!

  • @Pregolegs a little bit more than "dop dop dop dop" sometimes it's dop, dididilyboop, dop, dapapopoop bawnnn"

  • @BRin722 and then you have euphoniums that are either "dop dop dop dop blah blah blah" or doodily deedily deedily doodily doodily diddly diddly doodely"

  • @Bassetenator lol

  • @BRin722 who doesn't love how deep youtube comments can be?

  • @Bassetenator lol, well at least we're not arguing!

  • @BRin722 i agree, i find those so stupid.... lol so this is a video of amazing abilities and then on my profile i have o video of me playing my moms French horn horribly

  • @Bassetenator jesus blessed the euphoniums :P

  • Would you like to donate a tuba to the josh dupont fund, lol

  • omg how did he hit a note that high on tuba

  • @jeremylandry1 It's all about air man, it's all about air

  • @tubabacon haha i know i was joking but thanks anyways =]

  • @jeremylandry1 I know, it's just what my private instructor always tells me haha

  • OMG this guy is AMAZING is there anything he can't play brilliantly?

  • I love Baadsvik's playing, but this piece does sound better on oboe. (It's a bit odd for me to post a comment like this one, since I usually oppose views like this, and often prefer transcribed versions of songs to the original versions, but this one loses something when played on a non-oboe.)

  • Beautiful.

  • AWESOME!

I had never seen the inside of the church and it looks amazing.

  • This concert was epic, they should have closed with this.
