  • dude if i was that old i would play music that would disarm people and make chuck noris cry

  • Fat beethoven is alive!! =))

  • I've tested both Yamaha and Kawai pianos; IMO, I believe Kawai is better : )

  • @abetakaya2oofuri Ive played a few horrible kawaii's myself..

  • what is this songs name? It's beautiful

  • What is that song? It's wonderfull

  • What is that composition?

  • it can be voiced, or the hammer heads can actually be replaced for a more 'classical' sound...and it isn't that expensive to do...you can buy the exact same hammer heads that go into the typical steinway, kawai, etc. they're all made by a third-party maunufacturer who, like string makers, that's all they make. the heads even even come pre-drilled to mount onto the dowels.

  • it's easier to voice a bright tone to a mellower one. on the other hand, a dull sounding piano can't be helped at all

  • Piano does sound too bright. Not mellow enough. Kawai pianos have a much superior bass!! I just tried them all out in the shop - Yamaha bass is tinny even on the 7 foot model!

  • I agree Yamahas are bright and some people like bright pianos like Elton John, Paul Mac Cartny, ect. Where Kawais dont pay millions to EJ, & PM they build quality instraments. As do most reputable companies do... jus my 2 cents...

  • I agree, it has that very harsh, bright, tenny sound that yamaha is, well, I guess famous for.

I much prefer a warm full sound of a Boston piano which is a Steinway product and competes in the same price range as the C series Yamaha's

  • Yes I agree! Yamaha's are too bright for my likings. I like Kawai 100% better. Kawai have the great Millenium 3 action which is FAST and lovely to play! By the way Boston pianos are actually made by Kawai! This is of course why Boston is good. But I prefer Kawai myself, as the Boston is far too expensive because of its link with "designed by Steinway".

  • Other than the Fazioli, I think steinways are the best

  • *jaw falls off*

    meh god...

  • The tone is kind of bright, not a good piano.

  • Just because its bright doesn't mean its not good... People have different tastes, some like dark tones and some (like me, prefer brighter tones on a piano).

  • sorry just a personal opinion... hope it didnt offend anyone here....=]

  • very nice playing !!! very nice sound !!!

***Thanks very much for this video ***

I will not buy a Grand Piano, but I curious for them.

Could you/anyone tell me opinions: which is better: YAMAHA or Kawai??? I just heard Kawai (with not such a good piano player than the one here...but I think I prefer YAMAHA-Sound in general)

  • This is a personal and subjective opinion:

The Yamahas C3/G3 tend to be more brighter even in the bassnotes while the Kawais are more on the mellow, less brighter side. The bass notes of kawaii tend to be more solid.

  • i prefer the bass of a kawai ..=] cause yamaha pianos generally tend to be too sharp

  • Hello, is this a Yamaha C3 (length of 187 cm's)? I recently bought a new one but I am surprised about the nice sound, did not know it sound so good.

  • Congratulations on your new piano! Could you possibly tell me how much did it cost?...because I couldn't find a price list anywhere...

  • it should be about 15000€

  • it costs 14.690 in Greece.

  • Yes I am sure the C3 is very good. Fazioli and Steinway are good too. But also the Kawai RX and SK models are most interesting and I think just as good as the Steinways!
