  • I love this. Also used it as proof to win 20 bucks. A friend didn't believe a dance titled 'mashed potatoes' existed. LOL

  • Sammy Davis jr. was a very handsome man.

  • You just got to love this guy. That talent level is just gone for ever.

  • Greatest show man ever

Thanks to Youtube I can still see and hear great artists of yesteryear. Instead of having to watch the dross of today.

  • You can turn off the sound and still know who he's impersonating. Oh, how I miss him!

  • His Dean Martin is incredible!!! As is his real voice! <3 Sammy!!

  • A shame this kind of entertainment is now extinct!!! :-(

  • @mantell No it isn't. You just haven't looked.

  • @mantell honestly i think this style of entertainment and this type of talent became extinct the instant he died. One of a kind he was

  • @mantell isnt that just so true

  • I've been watching a lot of YouTube, and he may be the most-talented star ever.

  • RIP Sammy Davis, you're the greatest!

  • DerrikRose1991-he's impersonating Jerry Lewis, comedian/actor,

    Muscular Dystrophy Marathon guy.

    You're right leonc100, Sammy = LEGEND!

  • who is he impersonating at 5:44

  • All those impersonations were spot on! Very funny Jerry Lewis at the end.

    Sammy Davis was GENIOUS.

  • oh my god...this is why youtube exists. this man was a sponge and loved to show what he learned and observed. this was VERY entertaining. thanks for posting it.

...i'm definatly gonna take that "swig the mic, and sing into the scotch" bit. shocked me and made me laugh out loud.

  • brilliant peformer

  • His Humphrey Bogart impression is marvelous

  • i indubadibly agree

  • cant these dumbasses save the applause for the end? they ruin alot of his performance by clapping at exactly the wrong moments...

  • just amazing god put that much talent in one person

  • @furrowin

I'm sure he also worked his ass off for it!

  • sublime

  • Dean Martin impression LMAO!classic

  • He needed to work on his Brando.

  • true at that point he was probably still working on the voice, but you have to admit the whole intro that he used leading in was amazingly spot on.

  • @Thommy2n Check out Kevin Spacey's Brando on the James Lipton show. It's amazing.

  • Sammy = LEGEND

  • Impersonating while singing - very creative. His Dean Martin is great, and he moves just like Jerry Lewis.

  • Sammy was absolutely marvelous. What a performer.

  • I'm thinking, was he one of the first, comic impersonators? I know he was doing this in the 50's? Acting, singing, acting WHILE singing, dancing, impersonating, comedy. WHAT didn't he do?

  • could well be...Danny Kaye did impressions as well tho not on a broad scale as Sammy I think.Great Great talent...dont got guys like around anymore.Allround entertainers that is...

  • Correct. Late at night when I wrote that and forgot most before 1960, Mostly, we have the "Idol" shows and singers of the like. Of the Greatest, was Brel, little known at all in the West (apart from the musical which translated some of his songs into English. His writings are amazing, and I do not believe will ever be equaled. Thanks for the comment!

  • you are most welcome :) and i have never heard about Brel.then again...i am not from the US and i dont watch Idols,Xfactor or whatever talent hunting commercial crappy show. Its all about "dial now to vote!" and that is considered with a pretty word...entertainment.

  • Amazing !, what a performance!

  • Man, Sammy was the best!

  • Very good impressions.
