Beautiful. Just have to mention that Dvorsky wasn't the the first nonrussian to sing Lenski in Russia. At least Finnish tenor Veikko Tyrväinen was asked to sing it at Bolshoi in the 1950's, after the succes at the Finnish National Opera 1952.
And no - Finland was definetly not a part of Soviet Union then.

I can't remember the singer's name, but at the end of one performance I saw, he was in tears. What an intense, emotional song.

One of my favors duels..couldnt understand the lyrics yet almost natural to sense their intensity, the all ensemble is so vivid!!
Enchantingly heartbreaking for the listeners.
