Darth Vader is chosen as the resurrected Maul's first target; the cultists believe that Vader retains too much of his former self, Anakin Skywalker, to effectively serve the Empire. Vader ultimately wins the resulting duel, however, by stabbing his lightsaber through himself into Maul, who is standing behind him.

darth maul wasn't a sith lord , he was an apprentice and possibly the most badass APPRENTICE in the sith order. comparing him to raven ,sidious, bane etc who are sith lords is stupid since it is obvious tha the lord outmatches the apprentice. and the only reason he got pwned by obi wan is because he spent an awful amount of time messing around with him and obi wan kinda took him by surprize

Darth maul was the most powerful sith he even killed the Black Sun and they are 2 much of a match for jedi even Obi-Wan...Darth Vader is one of to me the 8th or 6th favorite sith 1. he has Assmatic problems an 2. he is such a wussy...
In my opinion, though Christopher Lee may be the King of fantasy, i don't think he belonged in a Star Wars film.
I think Vader is over-rated to know end.
I thought Revan was probably one of my favorite characters in the whole of the Star Wars universe, probably because you could make him as badass as you wanted him to be.

if darth maul wasn't toying with him and really wanted him dead. he would have used force push and obi wan would have fell or he could have threw his lightsaber at him. if they kept dueling darth maul would have owned obi-wan since his skill far surpasses obi wan's. he killed qui-gon jin who was a jedi master. and not only a jedi masters but one of the most powerfull ones. only about 5 or 6 jedi's know how to turn into a force ghost qui gon taught yoda how to do it.
