How you ranked them from Ryan Gosling to Jared Leto to Joe Anderson was definitely accurate, but it's Joe Anderson by a landslide. Kurt's eyes were his most distinguishable feature, and although Gosling and Leto also have very distinguishable eyes, it's in a different way. Theirs don't match Kurt's intensity the way Joe's do. Although I know very little about Joe Anderson and I like Ryan Gosling, I can't say Gosling looks more like him than Anderson does.

Joe anderson has already made a movie that would be very similar to a kurt cobain movie (27 club) ... i don't see him doing it again but its still possible but i think when it comes to acting i dont see him pulling off a kurt attitude ... yeah he lookes exactly like him but i still dont see him being kurt emotionally... emile hirsh on the other hand has the acting and looks... sure he doesnt look exactly like kurt but if that what were going for the performance wouldnt be any good.

Maybe Joe should be given a chance, but I honestly would go for Jared. He's a great actor and musician as well. If he dyes his hair and grows it long he looks a lot like Kurt. Besides he's got a gr8 voice n he already "studided the character" in the vid he made as a tribute to Kurt. There he even played a left-handed guitar and tried to make his voice sound similar to Kurt's. IMO Jared's the one =)

Jared Leto- looks similar to Kurt but has some acting skills and music skills which would be a plus for the role. Joe looks more like Kurt but I don't think he quite has the skill set as Jared does- imo.

As far as I 'm conserned; most definetly JARED LETO. Big acting expirience, knows how to play a man on heroin, knows how to play guitar the way Kurt played it, and have similar vocal tone quality. Just check out Letos version of Pennyroyal Tea. Definetly Jared Leto!!!!!

In Hollywood, they can make anyone look like anyone with makeup and special effects. That being said I think Gosling could make it work. Having seen Half Nelson, we already know he can play a convincing drug addict, and he can sing well enough.

Jared Leto is a great singer but a horrible actor, and I've never even heard of the other guy you mentioned. He resembles Kurt, but who is he?
