  • I like your right hand's moving♪

    rrhythm is so so★

    GJ :)

  • k how to hell do i make my bass sound like that!!! and how the hell do you slap like that!

  • The great dileme slap or not to slap on a TB4!

Anyway , it sounded nice but I dont think id slap on a rock bass..=P

  • i didnt think this bass was that good for slap but it is a great bass

  • not bad playing, but the tone sounds like a shoe.

  • Gibson or Epiphone?

  • @overdriven77 when i see the way he play's I would say newcomer it means

    epiphone ^^

  • @overdriven77 I'm gonna say gibson, I own the epiphone one and this looks slightly different.

  • it's an Epiphone Tbird?

  • so was this bass line made of just octaves and slides? it sounds great i want a tab or something really i want to play like that im just really working on my slaps, i hear them so much lately im so used to it so its almost like a normal bass sound to me lol

  • try to use a drum machine to keep the tempo. the eq does'nt help you too dry

  • slap on the thunderbird :S

  • i don't like the sound of your bass it sound old

  • I am buying the same bass, hope that I will get as good as that within a years time

  • @MrNitro86 something to note with the thunderbirds is that they are "topheavy" - the neck naturally wants to point at the floor, so you need to hold it up. They're still brilliant basses, but that put me off them, so I thought you should probably know :)

  • @REllisMusic I've heard that from a lot of people. I've always wanted why anyone would want a bass like that. Surely the fret hand should be free too... um... fret. :?

  • @REllisMusic I play a thunderbird as well, if you move the front strap button to right behind the neck they balance incredibly well and make them alot more playable

  • Your right hand technique is quite solid!

  • Tabs?<3

  • Pigeotto

  • there were a few rough patches, but this was good shit :]

  • I like that Thunderbird. My first few years of playing, all I had was a cheap walmart bass. Keep working on your technique, and im sure you will be pro soon.

  • pretty good for only a year! if i was more consistent I would be able to play half that good.. been on and off for like 8 years now and can't really play shit

  • @youcanallkissmyass i had that problem for about 4 years mostly do to being distracted by fucking video games which i quit btw...But I found that I was very used to the guitar so when I started taking it seriously I was sorta on a fast track because it felt very comfortable being that I was on and off for 4 years already.

  • ok but how did this get 127k views?!?!?!?!?!

  • he should be playing punk, not slap. but hes better at slapping than meh haha.

  • HOW MUCH YOU GET THAT GIBSON THUNDERBIRD FOR? YOU KNOW THE BAND SYSTEM OF A DOWN HAS A BASSIST WHO ALWAYS USE THOSE.

  • Hey you have the stuff for slappin. After a White youll Be great

  • flaco retirate...sos un asco...

  • flaco retirate...sos un aso...

  • Thx for the video! Sounds good... i agreee with the previous comment of it doesn't matter what you are using with what technique - a good muso with make anything sound good! :)

  • ignore the haters- to be able to play like that after a year is an achievement, all these numpties that say you can't slap a Thunderbird seem to be forgetting that slapbass itself is not using bass in general for what it's intended- bass guitar wasn't designed to be slapped. Anyone who says you can slap but not on a particular bass is little hypocritical.

I love slapbass btw, passed my grade 8 after playing bass only two years using it as my specialism :)

  • some real nice ideas goin there

  • Got the same bass man. Epiphone?

  • @SirTomathy yeah it is because of the sound and where the jack socket is

  • get yourself a metronome dude...and good drummer :D and listen to some real groove makers like wooten that might be helpful :)

  • Don't listen to all those assholes yor way better than I am

  • TOO MUCH MIDDS!!

  • more work . don't post a video when its bad...

  • haha don't listen to all the dicks, you're pretty good, but yeah practice always helps =]

  • @crue93

Cool groove. Ignore the pricks that just look at your skill and not the groovin vibe the music you created puts out.

Also you CAN slap on a thunderbird. Very easily I might add. The guitar is incredibly versatile and with the right amp and EQ it slaps like a dream. I would know because I own one. It is not the top king of slap basses sure but it gets the job done quite nicely.

so STFU if you are just looking to flame someone when you don't actually have any idea what you're talking about

  • is the thunderbird for doing slap??

  • for just one year this is pretty decent. but the dude who said dont slap on a thunderbird is right. ive been playin for about half a year now, and you can slap better than most beginners i can tell you that. of course its been over 3 years by now so if you havent quit im sure you're pretty good now.

  • Nice!

  • i won't be hard on you. i'll be fair. I'm 15. have been playing for almost a year also. have the exact same bass as you and let me tell you. you can't slap. just stop it. or practice a lot. but never post videos like this again. because my ears are bleeding now.

  • fuck yeah dude!

  • еще и немец... оно и понятно. у вас там все дебилы. а нахрена комментарий мой удалил?

    P.S. Купи метроном

  • Justin Bieber plays bass! And he sucks!

  • if you have realy been playing for one year then is is great. NIce job!

  • Man I hate thunderbird bass... I think it has the worst bass sound ever. Maybe good for metal drop D or some other shit xD

  • could someone please pass me some easy slap songs to learn, thx

  • Pretty funky, I swear I never see people slap thunderbirds though, not that its bad but I dont think its meant for slap and pop

  • Dude U should eat more chilli peppers, and try fittin in those fast flicks better cause they where quite of. Nice job though.

  • DUDE YOU SUCK!LMFAO

  • that rocked!

  • Sounds good bro.

  • Comment removed

  • @semtiko pashol ;)

  • Man, thunderbird is the worst choice for slapping, it's meant for heavy growling bass bottoms.

  • pile of deodarant

  • its paradox, but this bass sounds actually really good if you give it a good spank.i use it for recording all the time , it often beats my musicman and fender. and it only costs 10% of the mentioned above. so thumbs up for the thunderbird(if you can handle the abitweird position while playing).

  • awesome dude ,i dont know how you can slap on t-bird though ,i always classed it more of a pick bass when i had one

  • Don't call the T a pick bass Grrrr

  • im sorry ,but its because if the size of the pups i always just called it my pick bass because i very rarely used my fingers with it

  • if you've only been playing a year you must have no social life or else your a very quick learner...sounds better than some dudes I know been playing alot longer ;) nice!

  • Keep it up rm

  • que lixo...vai tocar assim lá diante.

  • i love the thunder bird! its awesome isnt it?

  • @joefreakhouse1 agree :D its the nicest bass

  • Pretty darn good man! especially for only about a year experience.

  • well, there are hugly basses, and there are incredibly hugly basses lol

  • the affination is not right dude...

  • its sounds like the bass of rage against the machine ;)

  • bien pero cheka tu afinacion...y un poco mas de creatividad e improvisacion..

  • i think you potential, but i would definetley get a different bass, the tbird doesnt have a good slap tone. check some of the ibanez stuff. imo, their sound gear stuff is good for any style.

  • * i think you SHOW potential, sorry

  • @jacobi117: Yeah, I can testify to this. The GSRs and SRs sound brilliant for slap and they are cheap too.

  • pretty good for only a year

  • good groove definetly pretty steady

  • Ey Dude ther's something good here, very good I like a lot the tone

  • this bass is so good.

It would be perfect with active pickups (better for slap, imo)

    ....

why the fuck gibson dont use active pickups??? (i know the new epiphone tbirds use them... but i want a gibson!)

    anyway... you play nice dude!

  • Wow, bassr0cker, you're a conceited asshole, thinking you've "mastered" slap in a week. Staley Calrke has mastered slap, are you comparing yourself to him?

  • wow....either im really good or u guys all suck cus ive been playin bass 4 about 5 months and i can play like any pop-slap line from rhcp plus a bunch of original lines. and starting playin pop slap about a month in and i had it mastered after like a week....

  • jajajaja, the bass lines from rchp's are pretty easy to slap man, there not that hard to master and are pretty basic.., there fast..but not hard...if you want something hard, try playing how victor wooten plays, buddy hankerson ect..there other slappers that use harder techniques...i myself am i bass player too...

  • haha ya i knew i would get sumthin like that. i can also do some les claypool lines plus sum wooten stuff. but ya i get where ur comin from.

  • Victor wooten is mostly Doublethumb and another technuiqe of which I cant remember the name, In my opinion, Best bass player alive.

  • Your are one arrogant fuck...

YOU SHOULD BE THOROUGHLY ASHAMED OF YOURSELF AND YOU SHOULD BE SUSPENDED FROM BASS USE!!

  • -.-, Dude, Dont Be so Egotistical, Seriously

  • i have a tbird!!! =D best bass ever made great price but not so great for slap =(

  • oh yeah...this made my day :)

Im so getting a Tbird :D

  • very good for a year mate but PLEASE sort out how to tune the bass

  • ive been playing for 6 months and im just learning how to play a slap. is that bad?

  • of course not

  • Not at all... Slap style bass is regarded as one of the hardest styles to learn. Six months into playing is about right for giving it a go. :)

  • Nah. Allot of bass players don't learn slap after about a year or two. (After the master finger style)

If I do recall i started after about 9 months. 3 Months later and I'm still not so great at it.

  • no, im playing for 3 years and still can't do it right (is my english that bad?)

  • No its not!

Ive tried learning slap from the beggining but now, after almost a year I finnaly got it and can do some funky stuff

  • I don't really like the thunderbird slap tone, I've been play for a year also =) My slaps pretty close to yours haha

  • nice thunderbird bass thinking of getting one. =]

  • You got the right idea. Keep it up.

  • i wish i had ninja bass skillz man, thats sweet

  • you have a sweet bass dude ... i have a fender sting

  • promising, i personally wouldn't use a thunderbird for slap though, limited tonal range, still your getting there, nice :)

  • very nice ;)

  • Very promising :-)

Keep at it and you'll be thumpin' with the best of them in a while

  • keep up the good work dude, after all your just starting you will be ALRIGHT trust me man!.............WAHL basses are the SHIOTT!!!!!!!!!!!~ i have 2 already!

  • Don't you mean Wal basses? If so, good luck on him getting one. They don't even make them anymore. I'm surprised you have 2. They're like $5,000+.

  • very good, but your *sometimes* missing an important thing that is lesson 1. And that is to mute the strings your not using. Tho you might not have used them, they still vibrate and you solo doesn't stay as clean. I know its hard on slapping because you only have the left hand to mute, but you have to try to mute them also with your right hand on slapping, i know its hard, but you gotta work it. So its a 4.3/5

    Cheers

  • 6 string- Gibson all the way

bass, Gibson/ epiphone has some good ones, fenders are better.

  • i personaly like gibson t birds,

but if your into fenders you should check out saint blues, there basses are leaps and bounds better then fendes in my opinion and cheaper

  • Lol XD The end sucked.

But the rest was cool. Good job.

  • ye thunderbird = no slap

  • They're a factory mistake of The Gibson Explorer.

  • @crue93 i was thinking the exact same thing when i saw the first second!! :P

  • @crue93 whats wrong with that?

  • @crue93 I think it's just a matter of wrong EQ setup..too little bass

  • @crue93 ecu my friend;)

  • @crue93 why not?

  • @crue93 dont see why he shouldnt it sounds perfectly good to me..a bass is a bass, music is what you make it...your musicial freedom shouldnt be stifled by what basses you own. I have a fender P-bass and jazz bass and STILL slap on my thunderbird...becuase i want to and bloody well can.

  • karaaa tu pe muitooo Ruinn namoral faz mais isso naum melhor guarda pra vc em casa

  • ouch. not much of a slap bass. go for a jazz for that kinda stuff. but good technique

  • Good job.

  • wow. i didnt know u could slap one of those at all lol i tried one at a store and it was pretty hard to do haha nice job

  • Agreed fender basses are usually better than gibson's but saying that fender basses are the best is just not right.

Fodera, Rickenbacker, Pedulla all sound amazing but there in a different league i guess.

  • hey, gibson makes good bass guitars even if all of them are not cheap. I've played on a few and they had good sound quality and felt great to play on, but only the thunderbirds though, the les paul basses weren't as good, but alright. But no one buy a 1000$ Gibson SG bass, CRAPPY. But the best bass company is by far Fender. They were originally a bass company only. Their P basses and J basses are top of the line no matter the price.

    Fender basses rock!!!!!!!!!

  • I feel the groove

  • Nice bass and nice groove i love it hey if ya get a chance get a syth wah pedal or and envelope filter pedal and play that same thing again with either one of those and it would sound fenaminal!! Keep it up your a great bass player!

  • just wanna ask...sound like your e string out of tune?

  • gibson made some of the best bassguitars in the world. NOOB

  • actually gibson are one of the shitiest bass guitar companys in the world agreed they make the best guitars but the worst bass guitars man. try out fender esp ibanez and warwick

  • fender and warwick are top of the line

i own a jazz bass and it is amazing in my lessons i have an ibanez and never get the same as my jazz bass

  • get off that bird!

if you wanna slap, get a fender jazz

    or a high end ibanez[what i use;D]

  • haha me 2!!! i wanna fender jazz though

  • i have fender jazz and so proud

  • awsome. i want one so bad. im trying to buy one on ebay now

  • Only one year and already a Thunderbird ? U_u

  • KOOL. EPIPHONE OR GIBSON?

  • Gibson doesnt make bass' you fucktard

  • YES THEY DOES DUMBSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!! google it or search it on musicians friend. and untill you kno anything about music never comment on a video or even watch one like this ever agian. MUSIC NOOB!!!!

  • hahaha who's the fucktard now? IDIOT

  • o.o. Dude that was awesome!

  • U've got the feel for it man!

Bass in ur soul. So good job.

  • im gonna give you some light critisism if you dont mind,

    play with a metronome,

and try and make it sound more fluid and less forced.

good start tho, keep it up man!

  • and get a different bass if your gonna slap. love the bird, but it doesnt cut it.

  • nice vid

  • every video on youtube i watch theirs wars going on in the commenting

  • awsome realy catchy

  • Epiphone or gibson?

i didnt mean you when i placed my other commend :P

    peace :P

  • Bahahaha, you're slapping a T-bird! :P, in all seriousness though that was a really good groove for someone who's been playing that long.

  • timing is very bad.

  • Not that cool!!!

    Kleines Opfer!

Fühlst dich cool mit deinem thunderbird

Ich trete dir in die Eier junge

    komm vorbei!!!

Dann stecke ich dir deinen Bass in den arsch!

  • NEW STRING!!!!

  • Sounding good =] keep it up, you never know if you keep building on what you got you can come up with a whole bassline for a song.

  • talkin to norenlind

  • I can do that and I have been playing bass for a couple of months

  • fuck u, fucking arogant, sweet line slapfinger 8

  • wow, aren't you special?!

no, i won't be mean, i just honestly suggest that if you want attention for your bass playing you should probably just post some vids of your own

  • sure

  • I'm impressed that you can do this after only a year, you must practice a lot

  • kann man mal aufhören mit einem thunderbird zu slapen !??!!!?!???! das is mal ziemlich madig
