I love this song..its my favorie..I couldnt find it either..I wrote Jimmy Dean 15 years ago...and he sent me a copy of the original record...Ive never opened it...because its one of the greatest gifts anyone has ever given me...Im so glad that you shared this song..Now,I can listen to it and keep my gift in one piece....TYVM :)

Every time i hear this song it brings a tear to my eye cause it reminds me of both my late grandmothers who helped raise me.  This song was used on both of their video memorials we made for their separate funerals. Not a dry eye in the house cause this makes everyone think of that special woman who meant so much and got so little back.

My mother lost her brother today and as her once large family of siblings narrow down this song came to mind as I thought of Jimmy Dean and the loss country music experienced with his passing. Funny thing though about a month ago I found an autographed photo of Jimmy Dean in some of mothers things after we moved her in with us. So take pleasure in this song is for a mother. I purchased and played this song to my Mother once - on Mothers Day . . .

Listening to it - we both hugged each other, and cried our eyes out - in simple sweet joy and love - for each other.

Almost every time - I would make the trip to see her - she would dig out that old 45, and we would again - hug and bawl like babies. She was such a wonderful person.

It's amazing how he can make you think he's talking each of our Moms. I guess it's the sign of a great song. Almost everything he says is right on the money. My Mom passed over 10 years ago, but I was lucky enough to discover this song and share it with her before she passed. I can't listen to it without a tear or two in my eye.
