yes, it can do spanish but i wouldn't buy it, the LCD screen is really cheaply made. i've had 2 now that both had the screens crack. tech support told me it's because i put it in my pocket and they aren't meant to be carried in a pocket.

I put the version of the Sansa software that works up on the web for you guys. I see it's not easy to come by and a Google search may not help. They post a link on Woot to download the software when they sell the refurb Sansas, but you can't get to it any other time.

There is a new version out that does not work well at all. Everyone is having sound and video sync issues with it. Google for the old one. People have had issues with it also, but you should be OK if you have the newest firmware loaded in your player from the SanDisk site. ArcSoft media converter works too, but it's not free. There's always torrents...
well i dont own a mac i use a XP :P if a mac has windows media player than it should work if you have limewire then its also perfect but this is jsut coming from me im not really sure if you ever go to wal-mart or future shop and ask to look at the box look at the thing that says requirements
LOL !! OFC you can use Limewire or cds to get music on it ! You only need pulg in the MP3 player and transfer from your computer to the MP3 player... And you maybe need to use a program or so to change the file typ to something the MP3 player suport..

Haha. I don't even use 4GB of space. i just cover the rest of the space with videos that i dont even watch LOL. i can easily get another 2gb card for $10 so it almost matches up.
I have a SanDisk Sansa e280. Mine is version 2 and it doesn't take 15 seconds to start up. on mine it takes 5 seconds. Maybe its because its not version 1 but 2

just go to the Sansa website and get the NEWEST converter. if you get an old one it will work. At least not with the e280. It's pretty glitchy for me but it works......usually.

this just has 2 more gb of memory. all of the e200 line are the same but the numbers correspond to amount of memory. e280 for 8gb, e260 for 6gb, e240 for 4gb, and e220 for 2gb

LOL I agree with Zinc. It's ironic... it sounds more like something Microsoft would do actually, but they don't. MAC in general is ok and I do like the ipods (style, reliability, features, etc.) but I dont own a mac (and probably wont just because it's easier to build my own PC) and dont want itunes now that you have to pay for it (so Ive heard, anyway). Yes this is a very good device but like millz said, the screen cracks easily, mine cracked in like 2 months after buying it and they dont want to replace it. So if you do get this be sure not to drop it because its a good device but cheap screen.
i think it is cuz u can replace the battery for about 20 $ unlike ipods, which u have to send it back, and if you don't have the warranty, its like $200
on the day i went to by my zune a person from my school was there too she came because it was graduation day anyway she wanted an ipod nano but her mom tried to make her get this since its cheaper

Sansa has the best tech support in existence. They are replacing my e280r with a new one because they accidently made me download a corrupted firmware fix.
i want a sansa so badly *sniff* it looks totally better than an ipod (whoa..don't jump me, that's my opinion) soon enough, i'll get my hands on one. 200$ is like way too much for an mp3 player. a few years back you could buy a whole game system for that much. *sighs* the good old days. now everything's too expensive.
The PS2 was 330?! I bought mine like a week after it came out for like $360! Hmph.. I don't like Best Buy now, But I'm still gonna buy stuff from there. =P But it took like 10 whole seconds to turn on after you pressed the button. =[
Dont return it. Its SUPER easy to delete the Rhapsody stuff off your player. I did. Just open it up on your computer, right click, delete. Learn a little about the player before you just give up on it.
2.You need to use the Sansa drag and drop software.
3.drag and drop your video into it, and it will convert it and store in your Sansa.
Tip: Videos are split up into 10 minute sections. To lengthem the time, open the scandisk_e200_MCS.APR file and change the SplitTime=600 to something Higher.
But remember it doesnt have rewind or fastforward.... yet.

millz31 posted the same comment everywhere.. =P its just you millz31. my friend dropped hers down the stairs,quite a large impact, and only had a few scratches on it. i was there. really thought it was gonna break into pieces!

Yes this is a very good device but like millz said, the screen cracks easily, mine cracked in like 2 months after buying it and they dont want to replace it. So if you do get this be sure not to drop it because its a good device but cheap screen.

i think it is cuz u can replace the battery for about 20 $ unlike ipods, which u have to send it back, and if you don't have the warranty, its like $200

its good, but my screen cracked very easily (after 40 days) and they wont replace it under warranty, even though its a cheap plastic part that would cost them 10 cents... now here i am giving them a bad review, noobs!

Sansa has the best tech support in existence. They are replacing my e280r with a new one because they accidently made me download a corrupted firmware fix.

i want a sansa so badly *sniff* it looks totally better than an ipod (whoa..don't jump me, that's my opinion) soon enough, i'll get my hands on one. 200$ is like way too much for an mp3 player. a few years back you could buy a whole game system for that much. *sighs* the good old days. now everything's too expensive.

Dont return it. Its SUPER easy to delete the Rhapsody stuff off your player. I did. Just open it up on your computer, right click, delete. Learn a little about the player before you just give up on it.

Install the Sansa Media Converter, and look up your guide! =P

1. you need to install latest firmware.
Make sure to read instructions.
2.You need to use the Sansa drag and drop software.
3.drag and drop your video into it, and it will convert it and store in your Sansa.
Tip: Videos are split up into 10 minute sections. To lengthem the time, open the scandisk_e200_MCS.APR file and change the SplitTime=600 to something Higher.
But remember it doesnt have rewind or fastforward.... yet.
