  • Nice guitar work Uncle Wigley! 'Expecting to Fly' is a haunting masterpiece.

  • I have loved this song for 40 years and although the original version on 'Retrospective" will always be my favorite, I applaud your excellent rendition...will save it to My Favorites and listen to it again and again. Good job to you and thanks for taking the time to make and post the video!!!

  • @jebussey Hey, thank you so much!

  • @jellyjukebox Beautiful, just beautiful. Thank you for the lyrics. I just recently found this song again after searching for so long. It makes be believe I can still fly. Love&Light

  • Mind-blowing Man...

My memories came flooding back. I recall the times I had spent with "her" listening to this tune...One day she threw me down like a rag doll...

She literally told me " How about a game of hide and go fuck yourself?" "Go take a hike!" ....It was a forty-five-second lesson.

I was a snotty kid ...she was a "miserable old hag" in her thirties from N.J.

This go with learning the game!

  • Good work! Nice Hat! Hats off to you and as Neil said to Robbie in the Last Waltz "I think they got it Robbie" as Neil started on Helpless. Take care. And keep in mind that Atheists are just as moral as religious people and I have documented proof if anyone cares to know. That's part of my work here on earth.

  • hey man nice coverr!!! i got a question!!! those chords that you wrote down here must be played with or without the capo fret??? please, answer my question??? i really want to know!!!!

  • @wezzer66 Hey, thanks, yeah those chords are good without the capo or capo'ed anywhere you need to have it for your key to sing this in.

  • Nice cover! Hope you won't take this the wrong way but as I was sitting here listening to this song, I thought to myself, "This is what it would have sounded like if John Lennon had ever covered this song." Strictly meant as a compliment!

  • Wow, compliment taken, two of my favorite songwriters of all time John and Neil. Thank you.
