  • Showing off? If I could play half as good, I would show off twice as much!

  • I like him better when he played the more out there fusion like "Yang" or "Bad Intent".

  • I like the fact that he doesn't use like an UBER ton of distortion, his playing is just that good lol

  • showing off is something us guitarist are meant to do

  • i like the way his fingers dont waste energy even on difficult phrases

  • Although Frank's stellar performance is obviously live for this video, the background accompaniment appears to be dubbed from the take on the "Passages" album of 1994.

  • Just do a mistake Mr.Gambale...

  • @JohnVaki He has an instructional video (Guitar Chops) and he plays these long scale studies without mistake... amazing. To get this level of perfection not only a musical brain is needed, but a lot of practice too... I suppose he does mistakes as any human but I agree with you that he is an extraordinary musician.

  • Lol.... Anthony Hopkins is your twin. Only he dominates in the movie industry.

  • @Ribsletics xaaxaxaxaxaxaxaxax i laughed my ass off on this one xaxaxa great sense of humor man!!

  • Show de bola.

  • @Machadojaco Nada menos.

  • Does he have perfect pitch?

  • Frank is more a fusion shredder than a rocker. Nevertheless, you cannot say that he doesn't rock. :) However, I like the idea of no glow no go when it comes to guitar tone. I guess you can say I'm a glow freak. For the uninitiated, glow freaks means straight into the amp with few pedals and/or effects. Natural tube tone is where its at for me. I think fusioners like Gambale, Holdsworth, Howe, etc use pedals! Yuck! But that's all I can knock em for. Other than that they're beastly!

  • Thanks Xskyking1. The cd is in the bag!

  • I wish this bloke had been my Dad and rammed this stuff down my throat from birth! This is Frank in poll position on the grid, mate. Nice axe and he certainly knows how to use it! Anyone know if this tune is released yet or what cd it's on? I can't find it. Rock on!

  • @hogsbelly63

The cd is called Passages. You can buy it at Frank's website.

  • what a tone! :OOOO

  • toca nada u_u

  • 4:34....WTF

  • tHE 4:10 Lick is INSANE. Holy AMAZING.

  • @guitarrasco I think my mental circuit breakers popped when he did that!

  • i love his note choices

  • I recently saw him with Return to Forever. He is simply an incredible guitar player. A friend of mine was fortunate enough to get to spend an afternoon with him and has nothing but good things to say. He is a humble, down-to-earth man who just happens to have insane guitar chops. He's worked hard, has loads of talent, and the new Carvin signature model is not only beautiful, but it sounds just wonderful. He plays them in concert, and they certainly suit his playing style very well.

  • @srvgravesdim.... You are absolutely right!!!

  • Awesome, Awesome, Frank Keep on with that Mojo,, You got it man!!

  • Great tune , great performance !!! I really enjoyed it.

  • @TranquilizerDarts Right man...he's just enjoing his music , a lot :)

  • AMAZING..i am literally blown away..yes:)

  • carvins are amazing instruments and fair priced

  • @cowboytonydee.... How does he showoff to much? I really don't understand your comment. Very true, like you say; Frank is a great guitarist but where does the showing off come into play? Please explain.... thx

  • @MarvinSheats I can understand why someone who doesn't know anything about Frank Gambale would think, from this series of videos, that he's being a showoff. Truth of the matter is that anyone who knows anything about Gambale knows that he's being incredibly modest here. This guy can shred alternate universes into existence...

  • This is performance art, therefore by definition, one shows off!

  • Woah that's looks nearly exactly like how I want my carvin to turn out
