This tune is similiar to Machine Gun of Hendrix... but very nicely done. Also, very unusual style of playing with strings upside-down. Certanly harder than normal way. A unique and interesting young guitar player, very talented and not boring.
Is the drummer lefty too? I recognise the way he holds his sticks b/c that's how I used to hold them. I'm a lefty and play guitar, bass and drums. I always get excited listening to other lefties, we have a special kind of soul in our music.
@FluffyLizards nah hes a righty but he holds the stick in his left hand "military style" if he were left handed the hi hat would be on his right..or some leftys have hi hat on left but hit it with the left stick.
Until I saw this guy in concert, I did not think it possible that a mortal man could be this physically gorgeous and artistically talented. Holy God ! ! !
@aristarpictures I respectfully disagree. Jimi was a visionary that changed rock music forever, he invented many of the guitar techniques and sounds used today. His song writing and stage showmanship inspired generations of musics and created new genres in music and fashion....
He has been copied by millions of musicians including this lad here. Now whether her can become a new SRV, Trower, Via, satch, Johnson etc.. remains to be seen. He shows promise but to say hes more interesting than Jimi?
@awesomejohnnet Hendrix is great, but we have come along ways and Bramhall II is more soulfull and pleasing on my ears than Hendrix and I'm a serious player myself so I understand the difference. Don't be scared to say Bramhall is a game changer as well, Hendrix is a piece of great history but now new history is being made for those who get it!

@aristarpictures Every one is entitled to their opinion, so I respect yours. I have been playing 42 years, I appreciate Doyles authentic vibe and am not criticizing him at all. Im just saying "at this stage of the game" you comparing him to Hendrix is a bit premature. Hendrix was a multi faceted tralblazer that did things no one had ever done before. Here I see a good blues player doing his own version of "hear my train a coming" dressed like Jimi.
@aristarpictures I reckon you could say Doyle is more like the new Clapton, just in a contemporary setting...not really the new Hendrix, even though i fucking LOVE Bramhall!!!!!!!!!! He's the tone and feel king of blues in my opinion, but yeah, Hendrix was different.

...the best of the seventies re-incarnated in the form of DBll and his band....a true modern day classic...and that '64 Strat sounds like a million bucks.
