The riser is 5 11/16" L x 2" W x 1 1/16"H. the height is measured from the space between the notches on the rail to the top of the riser as it is mounted. Measuring from the same point, the sight is 1 7/16" high. all AR15 sights are the standard military height. Carry handle or BUIS, it is all the same as to make them all interchangeable. The only problem you will run into is the front sight block because some are on the same plane as the flat top and some are not, so purchase accordingly. thx
I thought about buying this for the same option: seeing through this with flip up BUIS. What are the dimensions of it? Idk if all flip up sights are same height above rail.

Check out getting you some Extra High see thru rings and you may be able to see with your iron sights. Just a suggestion
