  • Not a fan of Deere in general, but I do love those big two-pot engines. Especially when the revs come down and the torque comes up, thumpa thumpa thumpa.

  • Unbelievable torque! Love it when the sidewalls start wrinkling up on the tires.

  • pistons the size of paint cans! gotta love the ol 2 cylinders.

  • Because they sound good at idle. to answer a former question. :)

  • Every thing has to start somewhere!!

  • boy look at those tires crease!

  • Moore smooke please!!!!

  • @ZEG8704 That sounds so stupid..

  • Comment removed

  • That was an ironic comment. :-)

  • How come people never take these tractors out of idle?

  • @motocross19916 What you hear as it is pulling is its full-rated rpm. The 820 makes full power at 1125 rpm. The earlier model R that it replaced, made full power at only 1000 rpm.

  • @Possumlivingdotcom intresting....... them things have nice power for only 2 cylinders

  • @Possumlivingdotcom

    The 820 replaced the 80.

    The lineage went R...80...820 ...830

Great big heavy duty tractors that mainly saw duty in wheat and rice country

  • @OzzInter Love 'em. My favorite is the R, but I rarely see one of them. Around here the 820 and 830 are most common, and even they are pretty rare.

  • @Possumlivingdotcom over all the 80 is the rarest because it was made only in 1955 and 1956. the R ran from 1949 to 1954

  • @1936johndeerea Good info; I didn't know that.

  • @motocross19916 You know it is a 2 cylinder right?

  • The 820 is my favourite 2 cylinder JD!

I am an IH fan but I love all those big old standard tractors

  • 6715 made, engine 7,7 L 2cyl ,starter a pony 4 cyl, 70hsp on the hock ,rpm 1125...

    3,9 tons i love that machine ...

  • O M G the American tractors are stront!!!!!!!!!

  • i like how those 2 cyl. runs sooooo slow but keep chuggin

  • Powerhop! :D

    Nice beast!

  • You must of been running like 5-8 pounds of air in those tires....Thats what I run. I kinda like when the front end comes up some as long as you are able to keep it straight. With the right Pounds/Square inch.... you should do real good. Nice 820!

  • Haha the tires buckle like a drag car...

  • lol those are 2 different tractors. or the same one at different times, when its idleing the paints burnt off the head and when its pulling it hasnt been burned off yet, and the exhaust isnt chrome when its idleing.

  • dang nice pull

  • i hate when guys like him sit there and dig with there tires it really makes it worse for other people =)

  • look at those tires wrinkle

  • @chevyisjunk i love chevy

  • You should have showed it starting. We can never see too much of that.

  • i have never cein the whole wall of o tire wrinkle like that on nething

  • nice pull

  • there are not enough video,s on the 820 thank you. could you start it ?

  • What weight class was this pull. How do you keep you front end down?

  • It's not my tractor, but to the best of my recollection, it was 7000 lb class, farm stock.

  • @sow2323 lacking traction=keeping front end down.

  • @sideshow45 wrong,, if the front comes up, you lose your hitch height which in turn causes Less pull down on your tractor.

  • Balls to the wall two cylinder power.

  • Check out the 820 on bigbird2461 . Awesome machine!!

  • dang, I ain't never seen tires wrinkle up on the top before. That's one good pullin' JD

  • these are neat old tractors my freind and i are currently restoring a ol' 830 to go on the show room floor at the john deere dealler here in town, H-R autowerks

  • It takes reliable gears to withstand that sort of abuse!

  • Good ole' John Deere! ^_^
