Video's awesome Will!Haven't "met" you two newbies...which tells you how long it's been since I saw a 7N show.Kinda my fault,I moved to Asheville.Yeah, you guys should come play WNC.There's plenty of places to play, plenty of people interested.Until then,I'm posting this on my FB to show off the skillz.
Incredible fiddle and awesome rhythm guitar. Will -- you should post some tutorials on rhythm guitar for celtic music ! (Us bluegrass/oldtime pickers could use some instruction in that area.) :-)
Saw you all at the Glasgow Games in Kentucky. Seven Nations has never sounded better! Vic, I've always thought Andy Leftwich of the Skaggs band was the best fiddle player I've ever heard. He may have dropped to number two. You're outstanding. Unbelieveable playing ,Will. You're no slouch on pipes either. You two really had us going with that set in Ky. Thank you!
Thats conventional guitar tuning right? I'm a dadgad guitar player myself but my style is similar to yours. Where did you learn to play like that though?
where can I learn the drop d chords like that, I'de really love to play like you. DADGAD has gotten a little repedative. If there is one chord shape I can use and move around the frets could you write the fingering
Well the nice thing about is that a lot of your standard chords work such as Am, D, C, F. However, the "bar" that im using is basically a F chord moved up and down the neck. You would make it minor by lifting off your middle finger and barring it with the first. You can let some of the strings ring which will give you a drone effect. For Em, i play more a less a power chord. The main G should be something like
I absolutely loved these tunes! Some of the best reels I've heard in a while. Keep up the great work, and keep this stuff coming. I want to hear more of this!
Hey Will- are you world famous yet? Remember me when you're the next John Mayer. I want front row and back stage passes! I'd like to see a video of you on pipes, too. Great playing, guys.
god I love playing Bodhran with this!

Hey there, its actually just drop D. I mess around with some dadgad as well, but I find I have to capo a lot more when I do.

E -3
B-3
G-0
D-0
A-5
D-5
You can bar the 3 fret for a Gminor.
Hope this helps!
