  • Your replacement map sensor may not be connected properly

  • Clean/Flush the transmission. Make sure it's really clean. I think it sounds rough- could be burnt/ old/ dirty fluid. My 9-3 is happier since I cleaned it. It wasn't catching up with acceleration and slow to change from 1st to 2nd and whining. I never pushed it to change just let it go at it's pace- I'm not heavy on the foot. My mechanicsaid if the flush/clean doesn't work to go to synthetic fluid- but it worked. Now it's running smoothly.

  • Thank you youtube, I won't buy a SAAB :)

  • It pains me to see a SAAB like this :(

  • Automatic gear box - piece of sh*t

  • @zzjoerdo Because theyre tough as nails, and sleepers!

  • automactic or stick, shit sounds like its choking change the oil,put a col air intake on that bitch make her breath better

  • sounds and looks like the most unhealthy saab ever

  • that whining noise does not sound good sounds like sludge problems.

  • mine did that today as i was pulling out of my drive way! it was very odd, and then my wheel started locking...

  • have you managed to fix your airbag warning light since?

  • the same problem happen to me last summer

  • i got the opposite problem with my 1995 ford contour: if im in idle, my car will stall if im at a light long enough. longer i drive, the longer it takes for the engine to stall.

  • looks like itz in limp mode buddy

  • @rednisson lol if it was pump car wouldn't start

  • I was just going to say change the TPS, but I looked up and say that you already said that. haha

  • I have an 04 9.3 SaaB AerO and i just put a cold air intake on it. Itl run about 10 min then goes into limp mode bc the MAP sensor cant recognize the ammount of air from the CAI so it cant mix the correct ammount of fuel into the pistons. Iv heard if you drive it like that for a couple days it can reset the CPU but dont hold me to it if your car messes up bc of it. Thats just what iv heard. if you come up with any solutions plz let me know. Itl help alot

  • FYI: It was the throttle possition sensor,

  • Try unplugging the evap purge valve. I had somewhat similar problems and that solved it.

  • i also own a 99 saab 93, i dont no much about cars, but it sounds like your transmission is haveing trouble catching up to you current speed, also it seems like you have turbo lag, check your waste gate and look at getting a BOV(Blow Off Valve, it prevents turbo lag.

  • Clean THROTTLE BODY

  • I agree with 1234chris900se, it could be in limp home mode.

If you have a local parts store such as Advanced Auto Parts you may be able to go there and they can hook a code scanner up to it for free and read the error codes to help pinpoint the problem.

  • fuel pump? lol idk

  • Firstly, you might be in "Limp Home" mode. Thats why your acceleration is slow.

Secondly, I dont think that is a catalytic converter issue, especially since the red triangle is on. You should check your throttle body, and your MAF sensor as this could have gone bad.

  • Check your cat converter

  • It almost seems like your transmission is messing up, especially with that ridiculous whine it's making under acceleration. If you put the shifter in "1" and drive around in that does it do the shudder thing?

  • i dont know much about cars, but this is alot like what my car did when the cat converter went. idk maybe you should check that out! just a guess.
