He could have 76 of clubs or 56 of clubs. He could even have AQ of clubs and be trying to by the pot right there. If he's bluffing that's a great spot to bluff. Tony G's reputation earned him that call. There's too many made hands out there 64 and 68 or two pair. Too many possibilites for me to stomach if I was in Phil's spot. Even if you're ahead you know that he has alot of outs. Is it worth it? I'd lay it down but Phil is a far and away a better player than me.
"you play well, you play very very well, you're a chamion, send you back to africa..
yea baby comon get out, look at this, look how he is doing, look how ugly this is.. you are phil ivey and i can do this to you, you are a terrible player this is disgraceful..
is this how you play you call with TT?
up and away, comon on your bike, on your bike.. "
Great play honestly by tony g. I can't stand the guy but his monster overbet made phil think he had air or was drawing with say a flush/straight or a medium pair like 8's. Either way you rarely see ivey that confused in a hand where he's way behind and to call was surprising. That''s why i think it was a great play by tony.
I see that many full tilt poker pros and all I can think is how much of that money they're playing with was stolen money from player funds? At least 30 million of Ivey's funds are stolen from players in the form of a loan. Next to him is Chris Ferguson who was added to the money laundering complaint for stealing 20+ million from players. Etc.
@shane31lv i agree i ran into a very similar situation i was only playing 1 2 but similar flop the turn was a king i had ace king and a guy a set of threes it was probably a 50 dollar pot and i got reraised all in for another 200 and when he went all in i thought basically all of the things you said
I don't give shit if he's a liar. I don't care about his personality, he's not my friend or my family. And your arguments show how immature you're. "B team", "3 world country" ? You're a disgrace And you can keep your flag, your passport and everything else to yourself. Those are material things that are nothing against real feelings. I can go to fucking China if I want, live there for fucking 10 years and flush my passport down the toilet, but I'm and always will be Lithuanian. End of story.
@pokeriotevas You throw bigger tantrums when you're wrong than anyone I've ever seen. You bring up points lose those points then arbitrarily decide they don't count. You are the disgrace for admitting that you'd lie. We have people here in Australia that weren't born here and call themselves Aussie and are accepted as Aussies. Home is where the heart is, but then you obviously have no heart liar boy. And on tv he's said he is Aussie. People can choose there country, it is a free world learn that
Fuck that passport. Passport is just a fucking piece of cardboard. It doesn't mean shit. And fuck your swearing to god shit too. I can swear to god million times, would it make my behavior more reasonable ? NO. It's just a official procedure, that's all. Bottom line is that your country is the one you were born it, the one you got your name from, the one your parents are from. Not the one you got passport of. And again, not one time Tony G showed which country he cares more about.
And by the way, Tony G not one time showed that he's Lithuanian and he cares about his country. He was the biggest sponsor of our basketball team last year, and people in Lithuania plays basketball way more than go to church or something. He also sponsors two biggest Lithuania basketball clubs - Žalgiris and Lietuvos Rytas. Now tell me idiot, which of basketball, football or fucking chess teams A.Guoga is sponsoring in Australia ? NONE. Because it's not his country and he knows that.
@pokeriotevas You bought the passport up idiot. How can you summarily dismiss something that you used as an argument to defend your point just because you've been proven wrong? He swore an oath as part of the naturalization ceremony, so are you now calling him a liar? Just because he may respect his heritage by sponsoring a b grade basketball team in a third world country, does not mean he isn't Australian. When he plays team events he wears an Aussie flag not Lithuanian. That fool, says it all.
to anyone whi thinks he could say something about this: Nobody except these players has an idea of their history, the highstakes mindset or nearly anything that influences decision in this kind of game! This is just another world
when phil ivey wins he out played someone. When he loses oh its just tony g vs phil ivey. Ivey made a terrible call. This just confirms he has cheated his entire poker career to get where hes at. A great player is never all in right there. We are talking supposedly the best in the world and he constantly makes bad calls like this.
@fliptthescript LOL ur an idiot and i can only laugh at ur comment he cheated his way up there. wauw, u must be really jealous of him to say that. kinda sad tbh. yeh he made a bad call. but its tony G, he could be bluffing, or decided to gamble with the heart draw, but ur a retard so im not gna bother to explain any further tho.
Tard, huh ? I think since you don't even know me, calling me like that is really "tardish". I know what I'm talking about, cause I'm Lithuanian too. And I know that many many Lithuanian people did ran out to other countries when my country was in Soviet Union's. And because they did that doesn't make them not-Lithuanians. They ran because it was shit times, but NONE OF THEM TRADED THEIR NATIONALITY. It's funny, when some American guy teaches me about history that is related to my country.
@pokeriotevas He calls himself Australian, it's funny how people claim the nationality of someone that has been naturalised to become a citizen of another country.
@speebyda With all due respect you're a joke sir. You say things that aren't true just to win pointless argument. Tony G never called himself Australian. He's Lithuanian and just because he moved to Australia when he was a kid does not fucking make him Australian. So OK, let's say in your country war stars, and you're forced move to Thailand. In few years you get a job there, get a Thailand passport and all of the sudden you are one of the Thai people, right ? Jee, are you stupid or something ?
@pokeriotevas With all due respect? He is a naturalised Australian which means he swore an oath to God saying that he is Australian. What do you think happens at a naturalisation ceremony? If I was in the situation that I got a Thai passport, that would mean I am a Thai citizen, that would make me Thai not Australian. Learn the rules of owning a passport dipshit. You have to be a citizen of that country to own a passport. Gee you are stupid.
He probably thought Tony was bluffing like he had the jack when it hit the turn... If Tony would have re raise after the flop, Ivey might of not have called here...
@Oyvind21 I think tony just calls a jack and Ivey and the rest of the educated poker world knows it.I think a small % of time G might do this with a NFDGS.
Ivey is allowed to make mistakes just hate it because G is pretty ABC in live cash
Strange hand indeed, most probally why he got a call out of Ivey.Seems G's unorthodoxed weird line just made Ivey want to hero snap him out of his chair lol
What the fuck is the matter with you people. Tony G - more Australian that Lithuanian ? Are you kidding me ? Tony G is pure Lithuanian, who never had any relatives from Australia, and the fact that he was raised in Australia doesn't make him Australian. He has Lithuanian name and surname, Lithuanian roots, his parents and grand(grand-grand) parents are Lithuanians, and now he's living in Lithuania. So stop you fucking jokes about him beeing Australian, cause he's not Australian one bit.
@pokeriotevas He was raised in Australian so I'm pretty sure they way he speaks, his culture, and even mental pathways were effected from his area of origination. His genetics aren't from Australia, and guess what...no white person that lives there is. They are from Europe. Learning history prevents you from being a tard sometimes ;D

Tony G made a fantastic bet, knowing the Ivey had some sort of hand. It was an overbet made to look like a bluff and Tony G thought that there were greater chances that Ivey would think that it was a bluff...so, in the long run...that bet makes Tony G money...whether Ivey calls in that particular spot or not.
It dosen't matter about the stakes. When you have the knowledge of a pro you can determine situations and manipulate them to create the best outcome.
Obviously if you don't have someone that looks differently at a situation you are not going to get better at poker. Maybe you should play against some good players then comment back on this showing another way this hand could be played and i will defend on why this play is better than yours. Amateurs never understand this concept.
@riffesd You have to take in account that all the draws out there phil ivey could have one of them. There are 2 hearts AND 2 clubs. Phil could easily have AK of hearts or clubs and a pot size bet and phil ivey might call thinking his ace or king will be good including the flush. There is also a straight draw on there. That board is becoming extremely dangerous on turn and what happens if he bets pot and it hits phil iveys hand. then his bet is pointless. he wants to take it down right there.
@riffesd are you serious? Phil Ivey would laydown aces or any over pair if he feels that hes beat. All the overbet is doing is representing I have the best hand and don't outdraw me. It gave tony more protection instead of getting called and letting a J,3, or a 10 from poppin out.
@draggmask damn, if you werent such a fag, youd knew his roots are in Lithuanian, but his family emigrated to AUS and raised him there !!! Google IT !!!!
@Povilas7 Hehe, yeah, i already knew that, the question is does that make him a Lithuanian or an Australian. My bet is that it makes him more Australian than Lithuanian. Probably got double citizenship or at least one from Australia which makes him what? Lithuanian.. I rest my case.. and no, i'm not a fag sorry, you have to look elsewhere
yeah mutherfucker but i bet he has more money in his bank account than youll ever have retard so what if he called its just one bad hand one bad play all his accomplishments are much greater than just this one hand dumbass
Tony G = Tony Greeeeaaaatttt!!!! lol
He should have start trash talking and put Phil on tilt lol
but the fuck Tony G stays quiet is cause Phil Ivey has
mad game and he will comeback and get your money at
some point lol. Gotta luv these pros. Makes youtube fun!

Maybe he called just so he could see Tony's cards and read him better next time.
