  • I like fish and poppy is my another favorit. thanks for this recipe. I will try.

  • Hey Sanjay - Are you sure this fish is river sole? River sole is a flat fish and this one doesn't look like one. I always thought murrel or koramenu is the snakehead fish...

  • Try cooking with hemp seed.

  • i like this recipe alot. i am gonna fry the fish in that way.

kindly upload some videos for fish kofte if u can. thanks in advance

  • my fish becomes watery and breaks on slow heat:( what to do

  • Chef......recipe looks soo very interesting ...but being a vegetarian i cant try them.....can you suggest some substitute like tofu or eggplant for it.....

  • I just noticed there's a giant spoon and fork in the background lol... but sillyness aside, this looks really good!

  • the giant fork and spoon are for when the food COMES ALIIIIIVE! lol

  • This looks insanely good - I wish I had the cooking skills to make this, or at least a good Indian restaurant nearby.

  • Hey when can I be a guest after your show? I'll fly over and visit.

  • the fish is called Snake Head in US....hope it helps...

  • thanks

  • ur welcome chef :))

  • i dont think this is snake head fish. atleast if you try seeing the image of snake head and black sole in google images, you get 2 diff looking fish.

  • This is one of the best recipes, I just love fish....Superb dish Sanjay. I would like to ask, in UK we get, Salmon, Trout, Cod etc....which is the best to use in this one.....? Please help....Thanks....!!!!

  • I live in UK too. If u can't get the black sole, compromise by using sea bass, or the fish you mentioned above. I usually get my King Fish, pomfret and others, both frozen and fresh from Southall, a grocery shop called Tamilian.

  • Awesome as always!

  • the oil is already present in the spice mixture. . ( the onions he fried was added along with the oil in the blender)

  • You forgot to add the brownish stuff that grows outside of poppy flower. That's will turn this dish heavenly.

  • Ha Ha, Brother when u r on Earth don't look for heavenly pleasures.

  • hi..sanjay

fry the fish without oil? plz reply me...

  • Fish usually have their own oils that help cook without the use of an external source. Hope this helps.

  • No doubt, he is a God! You are a God sir! Thanks a ton!

  • Haha "good god"

    Looks delicious!!

  • Chef ...you are rocking.thanks for this fish reipe and somemore extra information.I'm drooling sanjay..............

  • What is the latin scientific name for the fish?

How many fish slices do you recommend go into a one person serving?

  • Wonderful!!!!!!!!!

  • Either leave those out but obvsioly in this recipie poppy seed is kinda the main ingridient but your best shot is to, use sesameseed, or celery seed.

In case if you want to use celery seed, use less than the amount recipe asks for, because they have more flavor compare to poppy seed.

srry ...i know i didnt do much help :(

  • Sanjay... u've reduced the amount of oil u use drastically after going back to India... who inspired you ?? I belive its ur mom...

  • poppy seeds are illegal here in the middle east ...

is there anything instead can be used ?

  • May I ask why poppy seeds are illegal in the Middle East?

  • if it was as translated ... it's powerful narcotics and sedative

  • Comment removed

  • i stay in Qatar and poppy seed is not evaluable hear what is the substitute to it pls can anyone say...

  • You could try sesame seeds instead. They've got similar texture, shape, and size.

  • I fail since I didn't watch the video first and see that it already uses sesame seeds.

  • u can use almonds instead

  • Chef, every dish is your favourite!
