  • This bootleg recording sucks ass.

I'm a peach skinned benjamite melchizedek and I call foul !

I could easily lable this as latin accoustic unplugged thrash.

it counts as utter garbage where I'm from , and that my friends is unacceptable.

  • 1:29 is sped up

  • shit he is fast but....a distorted sounding acoustic guitar WTF?

  • Toilet

  • Just Sports. Not Music.

  • I’ve been playing about 16 years. I want to develop more speed & accuracy. I can play quarter notes at 120 bpm any time of the day. Anything above that and I start to have a lot of trouble with my 6th string. I’ve been trying to work with my metronome more and dedicate more time to just exercises, including just picking the 6th string. Any thoughts or tips ?

  • @TheZHBolinger have fun

  • this is bad!!!!! where the hell his fingers..

classic guitar is for real pro's

  • Bireli is a virtuos not him...

  • this guy is fast.....but that's about it from what i've seen here and in other videos of his.

  • Amen, overrated!

  • Al writes some headbanging shit!Funny how it goes right over the heads of the radio stations that play Jeff Beck ,RUSH and Edgar Winter

  • BOORING....just my opinion

  • 1:00 "Who needs to look at the music?"

  • Ugh, using a pick on a classical guitar D:

  • the guy is good, thats a given. this piece is a little hard to listen to... to the layman it seems like speed for speeds sake (muso's, please excuse my musical ignorance). not his finest work!

  • Vaya castaña... menudo circo desagradable...

  • sure there is a bunch of technique, but really, this more and exercise you play to improve technique not play at a recital....

  • Di Meola is not only a master guitarist and musician, but also a brilliant composer. His music is not for every type of mind to absorb. Hence why he is not as appreciated in the US as he is overseas.

Anyone commenting negatively here about his right hand being less than useful needs to look up other vids of him strumming like no other.

  • Fans of Al Di Meola are fans of perfect picking....

  • I watched the whole video and didn't hear him rip one.

  • the other gutarrist in the video will nevere play again

  • Kerry King's father.

  • Lot of technique, but the melody sucks, this guy is fucking overrated .

  • @vicchavill Maybe by today's standard of post youtube and dvd lessons galore. He was playing like this back in the 70's as a a teenager and compared to the rest of talent around him he was shyt. Along with Django rheinhardt, John McLaughlin and Steve Morse he was part of the vanguard that ushered in the era of shredding. Among those inspired by him were Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde and Vinnie Moore and even YJM.

Hindsight is 20-20. Being an innovator demands respect so show it.

  • @vicchavill Yeah this is pretty unmusical, but obviously you've heard Mediterranean Sundance? You can't say that that doesn't have any melody

  • @vicchavill ... I agree, I never liked this guys music.

  • @vicchavill So you mean we can hear a life long career here ??

  • @vicchavill It's a harcore melody which only jazz musicans can like

  • @SocialToolsMusic Jazz musicians know Al DiMeola is a hack that always play the same minor scales and diminshed licks over & over...

  • @vicchavill Oh, NO WAY! He might not be your cup of tea, but this guy is flawless...

  • @vicchavill I totally agree. I like watching his performance, but when it's done, I don't remember anything about the music.

  • @vicchavill I don`t agree with you, i think it's an exotic melody, quite unusual, and maybe a bit fast, but it sounds great

  • @ClassicRock1992 trueeee !! i think most people that dont like Al Di meola , can´t understand his music =)

He´s great. Great technique, great melody , best guitarist of all the time.

  • @vicchavill you dont have single clue who is Al Di Meola go learn to play metallica and comment on this... Al Di Meola is the best guitarist in his style even Paco De Lucia respects him veryvery much do you think Paco is sucky too?? I guess NoT you guitar NOOB!

  • @vicchavill just suck a dick

  • @vicchavill your mom sucks, and she's fucking overrated too.

  • @vicchavill fuck off dumbass!!!

  • @vicchavill This video is fucking overrated, but al di meola is an amazing guitar player dude, listen more of him.

  • @vicchavill pretty stuck on himself and eccentric, for what he puts out i think

  • @vicchavill Whattttttttt, Overrated??????????, melody sucks????????????? hahahahahahahahahahahahaha was the funniest thing that i ever heard

  • @icemanisdangerous Try watching Misterio, which by Al. His finger picking there.

  • This music makes me think of Animaniacs.

  • @joshuatreet

    Welll...There ya have it...lol

  • ha ! awesome burn

he is one of the best guitar players ever, period

  • hes a very skilled guitarists but that picking is really weird i mean whats with all those random fast notes, it really sounds weird, sounds like a typical metal shredder

  • Does anyone know which show was this?

  • Al Di Meola played for/with Frank Zappa.

    Enough said.

If that means nothing to you, go and listen to Justin Bieber.

Then go and listen to someone with a social conscience and a fair amount of ability.

    Plebs Anonymous

  • @3232groundhog

yeah, and this guy also played for frank zappa watch?v=pkG0AkIsgFw

  • Left and right hand seem to be out of synch on the runs.

  • Id be alot more impressed if he wasn't using a pick on a nylon strung guitar.

  • @icemanisdangerous

Perhaps he likes the way it sounds with a pick. Ever think of that?

  • @jrockzmyv382 Or maybe he has no skill in the fingers of his right hand. Every think of that?

  • @icemanisdangerous Hes actually explained before that he uses a pick on some songs because he likes the sharper sound. When he wants a more classical sound he fingerpicks

  • @tauman24 Finger picks are made of plastic or metal so sound the same as a normal plectrum. I don't buy it. I can't find a vid of Al playing finger style I'm starting to think he has no right hand.

  • wow he puts almost every shredder I've heard to shame. To be honest I thought Steve Vai was god until I heard this guy.

  • All speed... nearly Zero feeling... what feeling he had in the past seems gone to trying to impress with speed... I for one am not impressed..

  • @attractivefrenchguy You seem to spend a lot of time posting negative comments on Al Di Meola clips. I've a few suggestion, how about you accept that you've little knowledge of Al's repertoire, perhaps go and look at his back catalogue, maybe shut your fucking mouth in the meantime? All good suggestions.

  • @liamMaru

right on, amazing posts sometimes, like Mr Di Meola is some limited guitarist, he's only rated one of greatest in history...what's more impressive is that he can play any guitar at his level, how many virtuoso's can do this?

Sad to see what drives some, like uglyfrenchguy

  • @attractivefrenchguy

    it's because u can't play that fast

  • @attractivefrenchguy

Luckily, he's sleeping well at night not giving a shit about what you think.

  • what was the 2nd song??

  • @Niallphillips I don't know exactly, but it's an older one. It's on the TOUR DE FORCE live album from 1980...

  • The phrase he initiates with at 0:27 is just awesome.

  • rarararararara!!!!!!

  • That is a an absolutely beutiful guitar

  • Такая дурацкая гитара подойти ножницами струны отрезать ))

  • bravo 5*****
