This movie is one of my favorites of all time for sure! The acting is spectacular and the portrayal of Che is as historically accurate as can be and it truly illustrates the greatness and the flaws of this iconic figure. I barley understand Spanish, yet it does not matter much because the quality of the acting and the subtitles more than makes up for that. Great movie, I highly recommend for anyone who has not seen it!
"Denmark, with a mixed market capitalist economy and a large welfare state,[6] ranks as having the world's highest level of income equality[citation needed]. Denmark has the best business climate in the world, according to the U.S. business magazine Forbes.[7] From 2006 to 2008, surveys[8] ranked Denmark as "the happiest place in the world", based on standards of health, welfare and education." from wiki. notice the sentence about welfare, health and education.
@LapRound Income equality is good and bad, as less opportunity is provided as far as accumulating wealth. That is why the USA has the biggest, best economy on earth. We are not a welfare state, yet we stand as a single nation that can equal the greatness of the nations of western Europe combined. We have played golf on the moon, invented the internet, won the cold war, and made countless medical breakthroughs. Denmark has done nothing significant in years, whereas we dominate global politics.
@alexthebomb542 pure as a communist gets.Thats why he is my role model and Hero.Sure the America makes capitilism look like the best thing to ever happen, but at what cost has 3rd world countries suffered because of American greed.Africa used to be one of the most beautiful places one earth until western powers exploited her for her natural goodness.Hell look at Mexico right now.The place is a shit hole because of NAFTA and all mexico will ever be to the US is a land for taking things away from.
@LapRound And social help is an awful thing, it encourages the lazy to continue being lazy. In America, there is great incentive the go out, get a job, and accomplish... perhaps explaining why we have more fortune 500 companies than any other nation on earth.
Pure and unfettered capitalism works, and has always worked. Socialism has always failed. Deal with it.
@alexthebomb542 denmark is the probably the best place to live, cause of our welfare, wealth and economy. who cares about global politics? you guys are dominating because you have the biggest guns? thats not global politics, its just pure fear. pure socialism sucks just as much as pure capitalism. in dk we figured out a combination, with high taxes up to 48%, but you still live perfectly. at least better than the most americans..
think about it, there is more poor than rich in USA. minority wins
@LapRound Hmmm your comment is interesting.Lets get this out of the way sir: If every communist was like Che Guevara, then communism would be PERFECT.To be a true communist, one MUST have a mentality of other before themselves. That is the only possible way communism can truley work,if it is made up of a group of people who genuinley are interested in the welfare of others.Che left EVERYTHING he had, money, power, respect,Love,a family,he left it all to help those in need.Che is as
@LapRound We have had economic crises dating back to 1857, and have recovered from them all. The current one shall be no different. You can not deny that the United States stands today as the embodiment of economic prowess, just as the British, Spanish, Dutch, and French have in the past.
In our society, and societies across the globe we tolerate wealth alongside poverty. No nation can boast a population of entirely middle class people. Every nation has poor, including Denmark.
@LapRound Our system is the same as the Western European system that spawned it. Capitalism my friend. We just happen to have a far reaching financial empire that is easy to criticize.
I have seen lowlifes in north western jutland, strung out on drugs and asking for money. I assure you that the lowlifes of our respective countries are no different.
@alexthebomb542 you got it wrong.. people in denmark, wether alcoholics or not, they get money from the state.. they do not have to pay for hospital, which gives them a chance to survive, unlike usa where you'll need an insurance. and by making colleges free for all (you dont pay for college, the state does.) it reduces poverty a lot and unemployment. usa is fucked. people live like shit, and its not true that you've seen people on the street begging for money, i live in jutland, havent seen it.
@LapRound You are mistaken, our poor get the same welfare that your do, with subsidized housing and free insurance known as medicade. The European media would lead you to believe that our poor are hung out to dry from a medical standpoint, but the impoverished do get free health care here. Our states pay for college as well, just not private college.
I assure you I have seen poor people throughout Europe, including in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Scotland, and France. Poverty is nationless.
@alexthebomb542 you'll need an insurance in usa for healthcare, you dont need that in denmark.. if you dont have a job, you're just about screwed. you're not screwed in dk if you're without a job, cause our social help is waaay bigger than yours. this makes the taxes a lot higher of course, but it also reduces poverty and hunger.
im not a socialist, i just think what che did was great.. in a country as cuba in the 50's, the state were shitting on the people. and what he and they did was normal.
@alexthebomb542 true that europe is right wing, but denmark is pretty much left wing. consider that Venstre (the leading party in dk right now) is right wing, but the taxes are still around the 48 %... now thats a good combination of socialism and capitalism.
socialism has failed a lot, so has capitalism. only thing that could possibly work out is a good combination of those.

I don't understand. Is the movie saying he's a hero or a devil?
I mean, if you have to execute people, then obviously you aren't the best leader. Still, the chips were so strongly stacked against him. Che remains, like everyone except Jesus, a mixed bag of good and bad. So let's not get *too* excited about him.
this movie is not a documenary most of this movie is fiction.......they interviewd the guy woh played as che guavera and he said most of this was fiction
This movie is absolutely amazing, portraying the epic story of Che Guevara is something I did not expect to happen in United States industry!

I like how they sell pictures of Che, a socialist revolutionary, in stores across the USA, a nation that represents the success of capitalism.
