    Oscar

    Piura Peru

  • guys is there something on the market that resembles qy100 but a bit "up to date" ?

i mean something like portable "sketchbook for musicians" typa-a-thing? anyone could help me with this? Or is this worth buying since thers nothing more modern like that? i need a portable sequencer

  • @as1mar iPod touch with some software = $250

  • G&R?

  • can you import/export MIDI or through usb?

  • @4321micro Yes, with USB-MIDI in/out -adapter.

Also QY100 support connection via RS-232 port (older computers), but you need special cable for that.

USB RS-232 adapters don't work, i was tried that with my new laptop.

  • I miss the backing funktion in most of the popular DAW´s.

    It´s a pitty.

It´s great to play Chords and the rest of the Song fits to the Melody.

  • Are these progressions already in the memory bank of the QY or did you have to use the QY to sequence the patterns first. IE are you pulling these patterns up as factory presets or did you create them from scratch first and then save them to the pads? I'm looking to create auto accompaniments for my regular keyboard so I can play it as if it were an arranger piano similar to a Tyros 3 by hooking up the QY. Thx.

  • @Halunlimited

Chord progressions are live played. Chord recording is limited to 1/beat +-shift(1/8 or 1/16). That is reason for live playing, specially in "Sambaila" -video.

Is possible edit preset styles and save then modified styles to user-styles. All accompanimet traks of preset styles are also usable when edit or create own user-styles. And is also possible record (or import midi-data) own tracks and add them to own user-style.

QY100 can also be syncronised to external midi-clock source.

  • @od7m25z9 Thanks much for answering my questions. Your info (especially your demos) helped me to make the decision to buy one. Just ordered one and should get it in a few days. I hope you'll post some more vids showing how you use the QY100 with any keyboards.

  • @Halunlimited

Now i moving bigger flat and can after that do more vids...

(Then i have also more space for instruments and keyboards)

  • I wish there was a device that could record the tunes that come to me when I'm dreaming and fast asleep

  • Those little units were amazing for the money!

  • Awesome job! Keep on sequencing. We are blessed with such incredible technology I wonder what Mozart could have done with this unit :-)

  • Wow! this is great! I am trying to get away from my Roland PMA5. How's the programming on this? is it pretty easy? (drums)

  • The Yamaha QY100 is very easy to program. You will benefit with an external sequencing software though for velocity and other MIDI tweaking. By itself though it is very powerful. Enjoy :-)

  • hy man...i want to buy this thing but ..i have a question...can you play 2 or 3 sounds ion the same time like on the motif or can you make split point between 2 voices/? thanks

  • Comment removed

  • @mehighpatzany You can't split the micro keyboard to play two different instruments at the same time. Maybe in the future.

  • I have this I call it my gameboy for musicians its the bomb

  • this thing was a dream I called it my gameboy for musicians

  • It does look like a gameboy

  • you must have played piano or guitar a long time to know that many chords

  • I've made a song with this QY100 pattern re-arranged ..

    I'll post

  • You're F'n kidding me! Awesome!

  • nice video

    thanks
