Panasonic PT-AE7000U Full HD 3D Projector

Bought the 7000U, and I AM NOT DISSAPOINTED...This projector is Awesome. Bright Nice Detail in the blacks, 300,000:1 CONTRAST RATIO.  Using a 16:9 120 inch screen from EZ-Frame. another thing that was easy to put together (1hr) next one 1/2 hr!...hangs like a picture frame. Haven't used the 3D function yet on the Projector will report again.

Why are they showing a movie that was produced with technology 36 years old. I noticed Avatar shots for the first 20 seconds why not continue with that. This is like getting a top of the line HD TV and testing it with a black and white movie from the 30s. Do they have something to hide?

@MultiMcdude I agree, I think its just bad choice , or trying to show how it works with SD or old material

@MultiMcdude We couldn't agree with you more and wondered the same thing ourselves! Panasonic did actually show another video that we do not have permission to publish which is unfortunate due to the fact that the image was amazing! anyone know the probably street price of this? Projector People have it listed at full MSRP, which is $3499.00 I know it's going to sell for less than that once it releases... Just not sure how much. I'm hoping for something like $2799.00

@successful1234 Thanks Successful1234 - Since I said I was hoping for 2799, I guess I can't complain too much about 2999. Had some bad news today, though - my Thompson Firehawk screen has apparently been stolen out of my garage. So... that's gonna be another expense. I'll be into this for over $4K by the time it's done... hopefully it'll be worth it.  :o)

Just Be aware , projectors Look Great , but you don't need a super high contrast ratio , not to argue with projector specs , but if you shine a flash light or even a laser 2 inches left of someones eyes , light still hits there eyes , this is the nature of light and air .. you may not understand what i fully mean until you buy a projector , or study light or why projector screens are slightly rough to try and keep light contained in there pixel areas

Sony hw30es comes with 2 pairs of glasses, and 3 years warranty, also price is coming down!
