Out at my cottage in Quebec, Canada there's a blueberry field as far as the eye can see. The only other "competitor" I have to contend with is the wildlife, i.e. black bears and deer. They make a fine accompaniment to a blueberry pie :).

@RawBrahs It's a shame that man's interference with ecology omits the natural cycle of seed propagation that plants require. When Man enters the picture, he dominates all cycles of life and reaps all nature's bounty. It's too bad that these creatures are subjugated to onlooker status, while we humans gorge on their food source. However, being that I am neither a militaristic vegan/vegetarian, I feel we have inherent rights of our own. I'd toss them a berry or two out of pity!
