I was so sick of him killing me over and over that I finally decided it would be better if someone else killed him for me.

I used flame to keep his attention on me while I led him to the temple of High Hrothgar, and healing if he got too close. Once inside High Hrothgar, the Greybeards killed him for me. Thank you, Greybeards. :D

its hard to defeat him this way. just run away and use sparks and firebolts while ur running( absorbs his stamina and disables life regenerating). and keep running when hes about to catch u.

Wierd, I used fire magic and melee weapons.

You start with the fire magic, and I only had 100 magicka, so you guys don't have excuses when it comes to that.

All else fails, Inferno for more fire damage, or unrelenting force to give you time to kill it.

You guys just suck.

What works for me is I just walk backwards and use frost magic while he's out of melee distance. Then when he closes in, I run as far away as I can and range magic his health down, till he gets into melee range again. Rinse and repeat.

They're really not that hard at all. Stay back until it attacks, then rush in and hit it once. Run the hell away, rinse and repeat until you screw up and die.

@MOHtier1FTW I've beaten them at a lower level than that. The trick, as the in game book troll slaying explains, is to use fire, lots and lots of fire. Not giving them a chance to hit you also helps.

I keep hearing about frost trolls being difficult. I've never used any tricks, just walk up and wail on them. They die in under 10 seconds.... I'm not playing the hardest difficulty settings though.

Guys.... Frost Trolls are pretty easy... All you have to do is kite them around an object, and use an bow/magic. I play on Expert. This works perfectly.

On the way to Greybeards (long ass walk) I encountered a frost troll. They aren't that hard to kill, if you equip fireball and lightning and just blast him non-stop, he'll die after 2 full M bars.

DO NOT TRY TO ATTACK THE MOTHERFUCKER WITH WEAPONS.

I learned that the hard way, and walked 7,000 steps... twice...

Wow Lydia and I killed a Frost Troll easy on the way to HH. Like it was not really hard on adept. Lydia hit him with fire and I sparks while smashing him at the same time. We killed him in about 50 seconds.
