I do not believe the West are our friends. The question is: do your leaders think Poland is or could be your friends? I don't think so. We are too small to stand on our own. We do a lot to help Lithuanians even though they defy us. We have an alliance with Czechs and Slovaks. We were nice to Germans. CDU/CSU or SPD were not--your best EU partners. Belarus still provokes us--your puppet. We are trying. Whatever we do, Russia sees it's against her. Ukraine and Georgia? Maybe some of our politicians went too far. Or maybe they felt they had to? If we stand by, we will be next. I wish I knew. You hate us, you know it :-]

EU is here today it might not be there tomorrow. The lands need not be conquered. There are other ways. We see Germany spinning its nationalist spirit and falsifying history. Why? Compared to Greece we are not getting much really. To get to the EU we had to close down key sectors, we exported jobs. OK, Germany is a net donor, but the EU financial system was used by them to pay for Reunification which we helped or did not block. We benefitted them too. Poland in the EU is good for them

well, maybe I'm talking too much, but I want to be well understood. Plenty of people in Poland have always been friendly to Russia.Your people helped us in Sibir We felt there was much more to bring us together than reasons why we should fight. We have been set up by the West many times and we think we belong here in Central-Eastern Europe. It looks like now Poland is ruled by pro-Russian politicians, but you make a mistake thinking that our opposition to Comunism was against Russia.

In fact, i didnt understand why poland was so much anti-russia....maybe after i knew something about katyn i understood why. But i hope not every russian president would have to appologize for something that russians didnt (Stalin, Beria) do and was a victim of a systems like poland too.

The point is not apologising but understanding. As long as Russians think Communism was OK, we are in danger. I mean, we both are, because we tend to defend ourselves. We can't make it alone now so we look for alliances. We had a bloody war in 1920 when Polish politics was dominated by national democrats, who were pro-Russian. Read The Way of the Lancer or Lances Down by Boleslavsky and you'll see how people felt about Russia here. The problem was int'l ideas, Socialism and Communism

a hard question. Voting for Kaczyński is dangerous and he is too desperate to save the foreign policies that have failed. His domestic agenda--more justice, law&order and fighting corruption--may be appealing, though. Left is not my cup of tea. Komorowski is, I think, too dependent on some pressure groups and he is cynical. Olechowski is a globalist and I don't want NWO rule in Poland. Others are unimportant and have no chance. This is the democracy we have: no good choices.

i didn't say who I want to vote for because I don't know. I sometimes think I should not go voting at all: in democracy we sign a blank cheque that leaders cash on us. If things go wrong, they blame us for wrong choices. What if there are no good choices? What if we make a choice on incomplete knowledge, what if the choice means nothing. There should be a king, have power and bear responsibility for his decisions. Democracy should be local. The king then takes the best ones up to govt

And here we are again - yesterday we had the proof that we, polish people have to look to te east side where we have real friends. Once again West has shown that Poland means nothing for them. Just like in WW II when they didn't help us and acted like pure cowards, hiding their chicken-heads in the sand. We, and our east friends are sharing the same blood. Let the yesterdays experience be another one step in building our common future with our slavik friends.
