Dragonforce was my first taste of the voice of power metal, which lead to folk metal, viking metal, black metal, pretty much every strain of this wonderous genre. I owe it all to Dragonforce. It's no more crap for kids than Stratovarius is.

Hopefully the change in singers brings about an evolution in DF's sound... I think they have tremendous talent, but I also think they are very repetitive in their song structure. IMO, all their solos sound too similar and they say "far away" way too damn much. I also think Herman Li has the opportunity become a really great guitarist, he just needs to focus on developing a unique sound instead of just playing as fast as he can.

they had to re-scedual (i spelled it wrong) because the battle got rained out. They moved it to Epic Lava Field Park Of Doom so they had to book a flight, get packed, bring snacks, polish their swords, you know. Then it was a 15 mile epic run to the park but they had to show their ID and pay the toll to get in. Don't you wish they could just go to their back yards and have the epic battle? gosh...
