Mmm good point, yet it extends beyond the obvious meaning to the more subtle yet just as important points. Such as, take the word prejudice, it means to pre-judge or pre-suppose. In essence it means you color your present perspective with shades of the past, also consider that to presuppose upon what may occur in your future interactions with any person place or thing can actually influence the outcome of the event. For instance, project mistrust & you in return might not be trusted.
