I would think info on a good power supply would make top 5. For example, you don't want to buy a 2am power supply. You want one that is at least 3 ams and at least a max of 15 volts. There is only one power supply I know of that meets those requirments and is under $100.
Another that should be top 5, that you did sort of mention, was get a good gun, but also to get at least a 10 coil gun if you are going to use only one gun because a 10 coil can do lines and shading.

@1582563 machines that are considered "good" can run 325$ + But you can get a fairly cheap one at superior tattoo supplies for about 70$ then buy the book Tattoo Machines and Their Secrets by Art and Steve Godoy and make it run right.....it's all about the tuning of the machine, you can make a 70$ V machine pack in ink like a 325$ machine.

keep doin wht you doin cuz it's hard to accepted out here...these artist are makn it out to be some kinda big secret , but i take it as they just scared imma do better and take their clients its onlt been 4mths and im don beyond great. Im also not being a fast ass and just tryna tatt ppl to tatt & make quick $ but to learn the whole art of it and understanding my machine...but since no1 wants to teach me ill just continue to search you tube and read books...do you have any recommendations?

thanks i appreciate the help. i understand why they hating, i was skateboarding in the 90s and it took lots of hard work and natural talent to get where i was. its not easy seeing the thing you love get blown up and everyone thinkin they can do what you worked for in a instant. but id much rather show love and not let them make the same mistakes allot of cats do. thanks again one day id love to shoot you chair in my shop lol : ]]

@imhotep08 in my opinon any ebay MACHINE(not gun) is good to learn with, but once you get a little better then its time for a better one, ebay machines are better than homemade guns

aye bruh, you a real nigga! i just bought a professional kit because I wanted 2 INK myself along with my team and cut out the middleman!! Im a beginner and when i first got on youtube and starting my learning quest all i saw were white guys and essays...which was kool! but to see a black tattoo artist who is successful and putting other niggaz on!! to see dis shit just blew my mind!! im not racist but most of the tattoo artists are white and wouldnt apprentice a black begginer
