  • nice cars way to shift it

  • @ROBBY639 1.7s make it like you have a bigger cam. They keep the valves open little longer.... mite b worth a few hp.... for the time and effort dont bother.. and do a quick search on corral.net instead of YouTube. Ull get a better answer quicker

  • ...question....i have a bot-on 5.0....stock cam...i dont take it to the track, its just a street car....what will the 1.7's over the stock 1.6 do for me?....as in hp differences or ???.....sound difference, or would i have to maybe get taller valve covers?...idk...is it worth it?

  • All u need is a 150 shot and know how to shift make a BONE STOCK stang look unbelievable

  • i spent 400 on a pair of mickey thompson, damn they hook so good.

  • Low key foxes are fun

  • Is it bad that i have the same ET as the Claypso Hatch yet my trap speed is 10 mph faster? hahah I suck!

  • I checked my axle tag and I have 3.08's in my 93 notch... still gets up pretty good for being bone stock except for underdrives and a MSD ignition. I might throw in 3.73's for some fun. Anyone have experience with the BAMA chips?

  • @rompn4x Save your money and buy an Anderson Ford Motorsports PMS for 1000.00 you'll never need another chip for the rest of your life, and you can tune it yourself off the stangtuning website.

  • from my experience stock cam dies around 5500, but what do i know. Nitrous out of the hole launch it at 5500 rpm hold on pound gear . 12S

  • it dont take much to gain big hp and quick times with 289s and 302s

  • Comment removed

  • holy!!! nice runs! gotta love those coupes and LXs. good torque and hp in a pretty light chassis!

  • I just bought a 1991 LX 5.0 Black-on-Black with a five-speed and it is in great condiditon. I am almost done putting some work into it to go cruising this summer. I got underdrive-pulleys, FLOWMASTERS, a flex-fan, and a shorty-shifter. The car sat and needed all new front brakes. I see this video and I wonder what I should do next as it is having a clutch and transmission rebuild (upgraded from stock).

  • I own one that's been 12.92. Completely untouched engine. Intake and valve covers have never been removed. All it has is 4.10 gears, full length headers, short belt and some dry rotted 27 9.5 Hoosier quick times.

  • That first notch is full of it. 12.80s(other vid) with those mods. Show mr one other car that's done that!!!! I'm pretty sure your not the best driver ever to drive a stang

  • Haha.. the first one barked 4th. Hella nice shifting! damm

  • Every punk in a pimped up Civic thinks he can take one of these. I grow weary.

  • 2nd Stang is definitely blown

  • That hatch needs bigger injectors! Both are sweet cars!

  • i watch this video over and over and its freakin awesome cant get tired of watchin this vid. i also go to atco raceway do you go there regularly?

  • A stock LX notch (3.08s) needs only 2 things to dip into high 13s... a damn good driver, and a sticky set of rear tires. Power to weight is fantastic in these cars. Biggest hurdle you have to overcome in a stock suspension Foxbody? Getting them to hook! Power is the least of your problems. Traction, traction, traction...

  • @Hour13GT dewd SO TRUE.

  • @Hour13GT I notice that tend to lift up in the rear when you launch... Is that because of the quad shock setup?

  • @rompn4x they lift after they squat because of the spring rebound quad shocks just eliminate wheel hop

  • hey ive got an 88 lx 5.0 hatch auto w/mass air(california car). i want it quicker and ive got like 1000 bucks. i was thinking rearend gears? please help

  • @MrKyleSchick Gears would be the best bang for the buck followed by underdrive pulleys. I would just follow what 5.0 Mustang Magazine did with their project car.

  • @MrKyleSchick after you do gears and pulley a higher stall converter would help too just dot go overboard

  • @MrKyleSchick if its daily driver throw a set of 3:73 gears in the rearend, put a bunch of timing in ,14 degrees or so, and manually shift at 5200rpm. you can start in first gear shift up to 2nd at 5200rpm then drop the lever back into first gear position to hold second gear to 5200rpm. once you're ready to shift to third gear just shift it back into D

  • @EliteLX thanks ill try that

  • @MrKyleSchick 1000$ xpipe 200$ ,flowmaster series 40's 200$ , hooker full length headers 200$ ,373 gear 200$ let it breath watch it come to life with the new gear and the mods after that bolt ons for fuel msd ingnition uppe rlower intake larger mass air meter cold air intake under pullies last rebuild bottom end 30 over ,F303 or E303 cam

  • So are 5.0 engines good? Didn't they make like 225hp stock? How much power could you be making if you had full bolt ons? Headers, cat back exhaust, intake, tune, throttle body?

  • nice pair of stangs man

  • Very nice. Both sound awsome. What exhaust is on the first fox?

  • hmmm, did i hear a little chirp into third gear? very nice

  • yeah real stock.

  • stfup tyu ur a fkn ricer those cars are nice

  • I have owned many Foxes, but my coupe was tops, can't beat a clean fox coupe.

  • both badass cars

  • u ever come across another fox that weighs 3200lbs let me know causr ive never seen one stock anyway

  • @mustangboy8889 Id also like to see a fox that weighs that much. Never heard of one that is over 2900 lbs.......?

  • Maybe it was with the driver in it hahaha

  • Didnt know 750lbs of man meat would even fit in a mustang??? I mean assballs that thing is a tank!!!!!!!!

  • Hahaha, yeah thats about what my 01 cobra weighs so definitely something wrong.......maybe a shit load of speakers and amps, couple of hookers in the back.....I dont know.

  • Shit even then how many speakers could you possibly fit in the trunk of a stang? What four twelves? Them must be some cornfed hookers lol!!!

  • @slammedf150 my 93 GT full options 5 speed 100% stock weighed 3650 w/ me in it @ 160 lbs and a 1/4 tank and 1 15" sub in trunk, so my car was well over 2900 even w/o me. gas, and speakers. Oh and it ran 13.8 with factory 3.08s stock. I smoked many LX 5.0's who bragged they would blow me away cuz mine weighed so much... good times

  • @whtbullitt no way 13.8 all stock you had to have either sticky tires headers or something cause i remember those cars going 143 or14.4

  • @camirocz i had a notchback brand new in 1992 3.08 with a five speed and ran 13.9s all day if you cant get under a 14 in a notchback stock you suck at driving a fivespeed

  • @jstets1978 you had sticky tires and by the way i can drive i went 14.8 in an all stock 1991 plymouth laser turbo while magazines were going 15.1 and i ran 13.8 at 103 with my 2001 stang convertible with the only add on aset of 3.73 gears now i have a c6 2007 z06 bone stock and ill try it this spring cause there se three feet of snow over here.Low 11s for sure with decent traction.

  • @jstets1978 what mods did you have to run that 13.9 with an 1992?

  • @jstets1978 what mods did you have to run that 13.9 with an 1992?

  • @whtbullitt highly doubt that.

  • i had an 87 5.0 it ran 13.9/99mph car had straight pipes no mufflers, 3280lbs, 2.73 rear gear. 1st gear 50mph, 2nd gear 75mph, 3rd gear 130mph

  • @vortecroush Why would you put those gears in the rear?? Yea you get a higher top speed but your acceleration sucks balls, you would of ran faster with a set of 3.73's like i have or even 4.10's if you like to stick to the quarter mile.

  • 2.73's & 3.08's came stock in 87-93 mustang's. 30+mpg highway.

  • Well yea but still i would change them, but they didnt get 30 +mpg though lol

  • Your car has officially made me buy another stang. I had one when I was in high school, it was an 88 no option coupe that ran 12.9s with a few bolt-ons (pulleys, gears, welds, short belt, and flows) like your car. I miss it!

  • yea the second one is not close to stock

  • How much boost you running with the s-trim?

  • I still have my issue of 5.0 that featured this coupe and dig when folks push the stock motors as far as they'll go before bolting on bullshit they don't need. I'm driving a '98 Z28 that'll do bottom 12s with headers and a stall, but there's something about 5.0s that makes me want to go back. Hell of a car, Eric.

  • does the notch have the serpentine belt or v-belt?

  • I was running a short serpentine belt which bypassed the power steering.

  • I had a freak stock 5.0L. It was a 93 hatch that ran 13.7@102. That was at Gainsville Florida raceway.

  • @bullittben50 you probably got the model with the 3.08 gears and not the 2.73s. Check on your rear end cap. It should have a metal tag, kinda like a dog tag from war with the ratio written on it.

  • theres no way the second one is stock judging by his launch

  • the notch isn't runnin the stock rearend gear is it? at least 3.73's?

  • Yea, I was running 3.73's.

  • Nice. My coupe stock throttle body to oil pan went 13.0 at 103. It had 12.9 in it but I got rained out.

  • was that hatch running the stock cam too?

  • Yes, with 1.7 roller rockers.

  • @EricRihlmann are you sure? Because I can definitely hear that lope....roller rockers only increase lift, not duration. Duration causes overlap, and stock cams don't have much of that at all, and rr won't increase it. So how does it sound like that?

  • @fordman3555 hmmmm title says tock from TB to oil pan.

  • great launch + skill = sweet et's

beautiful cars, hook for the win!!!

  • Rolled by..

    Les

  • OH YA SICK ASS RIDES!!!

  • WOW quazimutato you must not know how to drive because 13.18 is possible specially w/ mods.... YOU SUCK GO EAT A D*CK then learn how to drive...

  • is the 3.33 pully 12 psi or what or is it 8 psi

  • I believe that its the 12psi

  • No way in hell a stock notchback is running 13.18. I owned a 90 and 93 and they were AT BEST low 14s with the mods you claim.

  • I'm not the first person to have broke into the 12's with a bolton 5.0 Mustang. When I first got the car I ran 13.7's with the stock gears and stock headers on radials.

  • i can back that up, my 93 GT completely stock at 3650 lbs with me in it, ran 13.8 on BFG Comp T/A's. NO drag radials, stock 3.08's, stock 100%. even the timing was @10 degrees. its all in the driver, most drivers cant get a stock mustang lower than 14.2, but a good driver can. 5200 rpm on the stock tach, thats all i got to say, thru the traps in 3rd.

but the 1st car did go thru in 4th so i believe it has 3.73's.

  • really? i have anotch with all these good bolt ons supposedly. i took it to the track with crappy 225 street tires and had loss of traction from begining to end. do you think i could pull 13's with dragradials or slicks?

  • when i had my 91 stang it was bone stock from air box to oil pan, even the stock T5 with a 10' clucth leaving at 4500!! it had full South Side suspension, Moser everything out back with 4:10, pulleys, electric fan, full off road exhaust with flows, ET street slicks with a 150 shot and ran 7:50's all day in the heat, with 1.5 60 foot average. it frustrated a lot of people with build motors.haha never let out of the gas when shifting pumping 150 shot the whole time, it was fun : )

  • sweet car man, what gears/ limited slip u running? Is your car's interior gutted??

  • I was running an Eaton posi with 3.73's. The interior was completely intact.

  • It's possible and has been done before. Also it looked as though he was running drag radials or slicks and that helps a LOT

  • How much boost is that hatchback running? Any other mods?

  • I added the full mod list in the description.

  • amazing...I can't wait until I get my fox body....I love urs....great street racers!!

  • Good runs for stock Pony's keep it up guys!!!!
